There's no doubt that Shah Rukh Khan is the king of Bollywood and the king of his fans' hearts. But, after Amitabh Bachchan's this year's Diwali party, SRK is now being hailed as a real-life hero who doesn't think twice before risking his own life to save someone else.

Pick any of his movies and you will find Shah Rukh jumping across buildings, dodging bullets and fire to rescue the 'damsel in distress'. While, those scenes are scripted; SRK recently saved a woman's life with his bravery and presence of mind.

The person in point is Archana Sadanand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's manager, whose lehenga caught fire at the party after it came in contact with a diya. It could have been a huge disaster, but thanks to SRK, it was averted as he put out the fire at the right time.

Sadanand was rushed to the Nanavati Hospital and is kept in isolation in the ICU. She is said to have suffered 15 percent burns on her right leg and hands. Shah Rukh Khan, who rescued her, too suffered minor burns and injuries.

According to a report in Mid-Day, a source said, "Archana was with her daughter in the courtyard when her lehenga caught fire. Those around were stunned and didn't know what to do. Shah Rukh had the presence of mind, rushed to Archana, and put out the fire. He, too, sustained minor burns while dousing the flames with a jacket. His only thought was to put out the fire."

SRK's fans are wishing for a speedy recovery for both Archana and King Khan. Farah Khan too posted about the incident on social media.
