After The Loss To Bangladesh, Fans Troll Rohit Sharma For Trusting Rishabh Pant On DRS Call

There were a lot of angles with the first of three T20I matches between India and the visiting Bangladesh side could have gone in but by the end of the second innings, it was Rishabh Pant, who became the talk of the town, yet again.

Returning to the Indian squad for white ball cricket after being replaced by Wriddhiman Saha during the series against South Africa, the 22-year-old cricketer would have expected that the highly critical and ruthless fans of the Indian cricket team would go easy on him but it is safe to assume that he was wrong.

Ever since India's batting in the first innings, fans were calling Pant out for giving away his wicket to his opponents on a “reckless” shot once again.

While in the past the southpaw has had a record of playing the wrong shots at the wrong time but to be honest, this time it wasn't as reckless as it was made to sound. In fact, a couple of overs earlier, it was Shreyas Iyer who was dismissed while playing a similar shot and getting caught between the deep extra cover and long off.

However, the worst was yet to come for the wicket-keeper batsman who was behind the stumps in the second innings and made the mistake of saying “laga, laga, laga”, while saying that he thought he heard the ball edge the bat before he caught it to dismiss the established batsman Soumya Sarkar in the 10th over.

The conviction with which Pant made the appeal wasn't enough for the umpire to raise his finger but it did convince the interim skipper, Rohit Sharma to take the solitary review and go to the third umpire.

As the reviewed showed that there was absolutely no contact between the bat and the ball and got wasted, Sharma managed to keep his cool and just smiled at his young keeper.

But when millions of people are watching your game with their thumbs ready to type something nasty about you on the internet, a captain's hilarious response to your goof up is the last thing you need to worry about.

Surely enough, the “supporters” of the Men in Blue decided to roast Rishabh Pant, this time however by shifting the blame on Sharma for trusting him with the Decision Review System.

Today, Pant was everywhere. One of the incident is here... #RishabhPant #IndvsBan pic.twitter.com/wZM8dtAhUd
