Ayodhya Verdict: Bollywood Welcomes Supreme Court's Order & Asks Indians To Accept It With Grace

In a development, for which the entire nation had been waiting for decades, the Supreme Court on Saturday finally announced its verdict in the long-pending Ram Janmabhoomi and Babri Masjid case.

9th November 2019 will go down in history as the date in which the Indian Apex Court finally settled a 30-year-old sensitive matter.

In its order, the SC stated that a temple will be built on the 2.77-acre piece of land in Ayodhya, while also ordering the government to give Muslim parties an alternative 5-acre plot in a prominent place to build a mosque.

Following the verdict, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “The Honourable Supreme Court has given its verdict on the Ayodhya issue. This verdict shouldn't be seen as a win or loss for anybody. Be it Ram Bhakti or Rahim Bhakti, it is imperative that we strengthen the spirit of Rashtra Bhakti. May peace and harmony prevail!”

While people are coming to terms with the verdict and understanding its nuances, Bollywood stars are requesting their fans and fellow Indians to respect and accept the decision of the Supreme Court.

Taking to Twitter, Huma Qureshi wrote, “My dear Indians, please respect the Supreme Court verdict on #AyodhyaCase today. We all need to heal together and move on from this as one nation !!"

Waqt lagta hai, par ho jaata hai. The Supreme Court has delivered it's verdict on a longstanding dispute over land title. Respect the law, accept the verdict and ignore those who will try to gain political capital or TRPs from this. It really is time to move on.

No one could have said it better than the great father of our nation!
