Leonardo DiCaprio is not just a successful human being but is one of the best actors in the whole wide world. The Titanic star, who was nominated for an Oscar over six times before he finally won it three years ago turns 45 years old( or young) today, and here's looking back at 10 pictures of the star which show his evolution over the years.

His first academy award nominated role came with What's Eating Gilbert Grape long before Titanic happened. He starred as the mentally challenged brother of Johny Depp and garnered critical appreciation for his performance. 

He later rejected Boogie Nights to star in Titanic, and post that, as we all know, it's history. The movie catapulted him to insane fame.

Prior to playing Jack Dawson, Leo marvelled everyone with his portrayal of Romeo in Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet opposite Claire Danes. Leo has also been best friends with Tobey Maguire since childhood.
