Andhra MP Kisses Cop's Boots In Protest & It Seems Like An Episode Out Of 'Bigg Boss'

In a video that's recently picked up steam on social media, YRSC MP Gorantla Madhav was seen kissing the boot of a policeman - after cleaning it, in case any germaphobes are reading.

This rather bizzare PR stunt has an interesting story behind it - made even more convoluted by the fact that Madhav had serious rape accusations against his name earlier this year.

In Tirupati, Madhav's bitter rival and former Telugu Desam MP JC Diwakar Reddy recently made an overt statement against 'partisan' behaviour of police in the state.

“Mark my words, if TDP comes back to power, we will bring such police who will lick our boots,” he said.

Madhav, who has extremely good relations with the current cadre of cops, immediately launched a scathing attack on Reddy. Having previously worked as General Secretary of the Anantapur police union, he had some strong words to say after putting his lips to leather.

Madhav launched a scathing attack on Reddy, saying: “You had made some callous comments against the police department in the past which prompted me to come into politics. Today the people have made me an MP while the comments made by you not only led to your downfall but led to the defeat of your kin in the 2019 general election. Today you stand on the road and your political career is doomed. This is just a trailer for you.”

Reddy himself has been problematic in the past - during his stint as an MP, he was recorded at Vizag airport, losing his temper and threatening IndiGo employees when, after arriving late for his flight, he was denied a ticket.
