Recently made the CEO of Google's parent company Alphabet, tech titan Sundar Pichai has received a pay hike, and it's no small order. According to CNBC, the Tamil-born executive will rake in $2 million, while pulling in an extra $120 million in time-based stocks.

Before climbing up the ladder, Pichai earned $6,50,000, which has now increased significantly. If you're wondering whether he shares your performance bonus woes, well the CEO will also be able to earn a $90 million performance-based stock, that depends on how well Alphabet's shareholders are able to profit.

While you may feel that spending all that money is a bit impossible, you might be surprised to know that Pichai probably agrees with you. Across the last few years, he's turned down extra stocks from Google - stating that he felt he was earning more than enough.

Despite giving Pichai massive returns, Google seems to have largely ignored a recent crisis involving worker activism within the company. Back in November, around 200 employees protested outside Google's San Francisco office against unfair practices - resulting in at least five people being fired since then.

Well, at least we know where their salaries are going.
