Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan starrer Love Aajkal might not have been able to recreate the magic of its 2009 original version, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, but the actress who plays Kartikâs love interest from the 90âs, Arushi Sharma surely is getting all the right kind of attention from the release.

She has not been in the spotlight but her pious portrayal of the simple and beautiful Leena has found her a new fan following. We were naturally intrigued as well so we decided to do a little homework on her. 

Turns out, Love Aajkal is not her first Imtiaz Ali movie. Being noticed and cast in an Imtiaz Ali film is like being touched by Midas and Arushi ended up impressing the brilliant director who previously cast her in a âblink and missâ performance for Tamasha. 

In fact it was right after she shot for this micro cameo that she shared her interest for acting with him and he obviously kept her in mind while casting for this one.

She is an engineer-turned-actor. Just like other actors like Kriti Sanon and even her co-star Kartik, Arushi was pursuing engineering and gave up a 9-to-5 plush corporate job to pursue her love for acting and the craft.
