The Coronavirus has now become the source for scores of people losing their jobs in just months of this virus being discovered.
The necessity of staying at home in order to practice social distancing and help the world get over this crisis as efficiently as possible, has brought the global economy to shambles.
While people belonging to the middle class are finding it difficult to keep up with their livelihood, others with an even weaker economic background, are completely dependent on donations, charities and the provisions made available by their government.

Keeping the same in mind, former Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh decided to put out a couple of tweets to encourage their followers to look beyond their national boundaries and support former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridiâs NGO, Shahid Afridi Foundation.
Hereâs what the cricketers posted online:
Harbhajan Singh:

Yuvraj Singh:

Happy with the kind of support shown by two great Indian stars of their time, Afridi personally thanked Yuvi and Bhajji for their seamless support to his cause in a tweet of his own:
Thank you for all you support-both yourself & my brother @harbhajan_singh are huge pillars of support; this bond we have shows love & peace transgresses borders when it comes to humanity especially. Best wishes to you with your noble endeavours with @YOUWECAN #DonateKaroNa https://t.co/IVhqywdl3q

However, not all the followers of the two Indian cricketers were as enthusiastic about donating to Afridiâs cause as their idols. Instead, they used a hashtag: #SHAMEONYUVIBHAJJI to show their rage against them for this âshameful actâ:
Extremely sad to see this. U have lost all the respect @harbhajan_singh .. everything. He breaks his TV bcoz his wife was watching programs with hindu rituals. He hates india and indian army. U have done a shameful act. https://t.co/6lTKXAtjvw
â Shailendra Singh (@shaksingh) March 31, 2020They were even called âabsolute jerksâ.

One of the users even asked if they were even Indians or not:
Are you Indian or a Pakistani ?

What do you think about this whole situation? Did the Indian cricketers deserve such treatment? Let us know in the comments section.
