Amid the Coronavirus crisis, where we're still under a nationwide lockdown, TV channels that were previously not doing so well have started getting all-time high ratings. 

This is also courtesy of the introduction of classics like Ramayan and Shaktimaan on DD National that are being re-aired to keep people entertained in their homes. 

The mythological series originally aired during 1987-1988 and became a household staple. An adaptation of Valmikiâs Ramayan and Tulsidasâ Ramcharitmanas, the show quickly became a classic that went on to be re-aired multiple times over the years.

Now that Ramayan is on our televisions again, here's what the cast is up to these days:

Deepika started her career with Hindi film, Sun Meri Laila (1983) and worked opposite stars like RajeshâKhanna, but became truly popular after she played Sita in Ramanand Sagarâs serial. 

As the female protagonist, she had to prep for the role of Sita with Arun Govil in DD National's Ramayana.

Sunil Lahri played the role of Lakshman in Ramayan. He was the younger brother of Ram and the son of King Dasharath. He accompanied Ram and Sita when they were exiled.

Arvind Trivedi played the role of Ravan, who ruled Lanka and is known to have abducted Sita.
