PM Modi Pays Tribute To Irrfan Khan, Joins Nation In Mourning The Loss Of A National Treasure


In a great loss to the Hindi film industry, Irrfan Khan has passed away in Mumbai leaving all countrymen numb and shaken. From Bollywood celebs to fans, Twitter is flooded with condolence messages for the actor. People canât believe that he is gone and will never come back to entertain them on the big screen. He will be remembered for generations to come and the actor has bid a final farewell to all his fans. He touched a million hearts and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi couldnât hold back but pay tribute to the actor and sent condolences to the family.

PM Narendra Modi tweeted, âIrrfan Khanâs demise is a loss to the world of cinema and theatre. He will be remembered for his versatile performances across different mediums. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and admirers. May his soul rest in peace.â

Irrfanâs last rites were performed at 3 pm in Versovaâs cemetery. He deserved a much larger farewell but he didnât get that because of the Coronavirus outbreak. Itâs heartbreaking to see the visuals that are being aired on Television where people wanted to see him for one last time but werenât allowed to enter the cemetery. The official spokesperson shared the statement and wrote, âIrrfan was buried at the Versova kabrastan in Mumbai at 3 pm this afternoon soon after the news of his passing away was announced. In presence were his family, close relatives, and friends. Everyone paid their final respects and mourned the loss of his passing away. We pray for his peace and we hope heâs in a better place today. He was strong in his fight, and we all have to be strong too in this loss.â 

From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, Bollywood celebs are saying that itâs too soon that actor left for the heavenly abode.
