If there's one television show, that has an indelible impression on us, it is CID without an iota of doubt. The show is engraved deep in our memory and it first aired in 1998 with 1500 episodes. It is the longest-running show and is enjoyed even today, even if it's a repeat telecast. 

The beauty of the show lies in its concept, as it never moved away from its core with Daya breaking down doors while taking ACP Pradyuman's orders.

The lead, Shivaji Satam, who plays ACP Pradyuman on the show is remembered for his dialogues, speculations and the way he resolved a crime without any rest. His character brought more life to the show and has been stuck in our hearts. The actor continues to impress us even on the big screen as he has been a part of many Bollywood and Marathi films and shows.

Dayanand Shetty as we all know was a senior inspector known as Daya and the most iconic dialogue 'Daya Darwaza tod do' became famous because of him. The sportsman-turned actor has been a part of many commercials, reality shows and has also worked as a theatre artist. Currently, he is a part of the CIF-Crime Investigation Force show along with the other well-known faces of this segment.

A show needs a little bit of extra masala as well and Aditya Srivastava aka inspector Abhijeet was known for his intense role in the show, along with some flirty moves with Dr Tarika. Besides that, the actor has also been a part of many movies like Lakshya, Black Friday, Super 30 etc and continues to make his mark in the industry with his acting chops.

Dinesh Phadnis aka Fredericks is also responsible behind enlivening the show with his witty dialogues and impeccable sense of humour. He has himself written some of the episodes of CID. Not just that, Phadnis has acted for Bollywood films and also written scripts for Marathi movies.

Dr Salunkhe, who's a forensic expert, had a lab without which no cases could have been solved. Even his character is quite unforgettable. He has been a part of the show for the longest time. Besides that, he made his stamp even in Bollywood films like Tu Chor Main Sipahi, Udaan, and has justified each and every role. Currently, he is also a part of the CIF show.

She was well-known as Dr Tarika on the show, who's eternal beauty was appreciated by all the cops. Musale has also been a part of Bollywood and acted in movies like All The Best, Khidki etc. She is also a model who keeps the gram updated with her stunning pictures.

Hrishikesh Pandey aka Sachin on CID plays a serious role, along with other cops on the show. Even though the show doesn't give much liberty to smile, Hrishkiesh with his acting chops has been able to impress the audience. Besides that, he is a very well-known face and has spent more than 12 years in the industry. He also got an offer down south, and did a cameo role in Dhai Akshar Prem Ke.

Seen as essaying the role of Pankaj in CID, Ajay Nagrath has been an inspiration for many. This young lad who was criticized and called a 'couch potato' has gone through an amazing transformation and inspired many others. Besides that, he is also a part of Bollywood fraternity and has worked in several movies like Pardes, Jab Harry Met Sejal etc.

Ansha Syed, the well-known sharpshooter on CID, worked as inspector Purvi. While she was a big part of the show, she still continues to win hearts by being a part of the Indian Television famous shows like CIF. She is also a fitness freak.

Janvi Chheda gained major popularity on the show. Besides being in CID, she had worked for several other shows like Balika Vadhu, Maayka etc. She wrote a heartfelt note to her fans that she isn't a part of the CIF show as she gave birth to a baby girl and hence is on a sabbatical.
