United By Samosa, PM Modi Accepts Australian PMs Samosa Offer & We Hope There Is Chai Too
Earlier today, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison took to Twitter to share the images of the samosas and mango chutney that he made on his own from scratch.
Naming his creation as âScoMosasâ, the PM then proceeded to tag his Indian counterpart Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Tweet, and expressed his desire to share the dish with him, however, he would have to be content with their upcoming video call.
"Sunday ScoMosas with mango chutney, all made from scratch - including the chutney. A pity my meeting with @narendramodi this week is by videolink. They're vegetarian, I would have liked to share them with him," PM Morrisonâs Tweet read.

Soon enough, PM Modi responded to his Australian counterpartâs samosa offer, saying they look delicious indeed.
âConnected by the Indian Ocean, united by the Indian Samosa! Looks delicious, PM @ScottMorrisonMP! Once we achieve a decisive victory against COVID-19, we will enjoy the Samosas together. Looking forward to our video meet on the 4th,â PM Modi tweeted.

Both the PMâs are set to hold a virtual meeting next week in which talks will be held on topics ranging from economic and strategic aspects.
The meeting is being held virtually due to the travel embargo amid the Coronavirus pandemic and will be PM Modiâs first-ever virtual bilateral summit.
While the samosa Tweets by both PMâs were mostly received positively, a lot of people are also calling on PM Modi to use his upcoming meeting to help India and its struggling citizens as much as possible amid the pandemic:
What a Virtual ScoMosas & Chutney treat!
Promising to be real thromeeting of @PMOIndia & Oz for benefit of IndoPacific &at large
Delightful camaraderie in Pandemic times bringing hope, good cheer & vibes to serious war on #WuhanVirus@athavale_abhi@desertfox61I@seedhadilse pic.twitter.com/RD89pwiDN3
Sir is concern about @ScottMorrisonMP and samosa!
Modern problems require modern solutions & mass promotion is not a solution for academic
evaluation, other innovative ways must be implemented for continuous evaluation.
Some relation will etch in our hearts. Continues engage with the leaders come to know more about them.
Great to see PM @ScottMorrisonMP offering vegetarian food to our PM @narendramodi
The deep connect between both d leaders reflects the friendship between both the countries.
Before we win against covid-19 please think about how to feed the poor in this crisis. Your samosas will wait but their hunger will eventually make them dead.
â Sohan_Wahile ð®ð³ï¸ (@sohanwahile) May 31, 2020Here is hoping that both countries come out with decisions that directly help the people of their respective nations, especially, now at such a crucial time.
