Though many of us are just worried about worrying about our social lives going to the drains, there are people who are facing a huge humanitarian crisis. The situation has also left many sportsmen in disarray. Recently, Anil Lohar, a national level gold medalist archer also expressed that he is amongst the ones who are struggling to make ends meet. The family was dependent on the villageâs primary school for water but due to the pandemic the school is closed and so they donât have any facility for drinking water supply. After struggling for a few days, Anil started digging a well with his wife, and now every day he digs for around four hours. And in the past 25days, he has been able to dig a pit which is about 20 feet deep. Anil also won a gold medal in the team event at the Indian round National Archery competition held in Odisha in the year 2019 in the month of March.
After winning gold at a national level event, he was hoping that he would get a government job but he couldnât get through. So, he ended up getting a private job, and then he continued practicing archery and had to quit his job.

Now, he doesnât have a job and is forced to sell chicken to support his familyâs livelihood and the worst part is that they donât even have a clean drinking water facility. This incident sheds light on the poor state of the people in our country and how they are struggling for basic necessities. Also, that a national level gold medallist is struggling to get his family some clean drinking water, just as the government didnât care!
