Liverpool Star Mohamed Salah Turns 'Real-Life-Hero' After Saving Homeless Man From Bullies

For someone who was discarded by Chelsea early in his career, Mohamed Salah has enjoyed nothing short of record-breaking individual success ever since his arrival at the Anfield in 2017. In the last three years, Salah has established himself as one of the most consistent and threatening forwards who remains key to Liverpool's dominance in club competitions.

The Egyptian, for quite obvious reasons, is revered by the Reds and their fans for his contribution to the club's success. But, more recently, his heartfelt gesture for a stranger on the streets of Liverpool earned him plaudits.

Mo Salah reportedly saw a group of lads abusing a homeless man so went over, stopped the abuse and told them it could be them one day.

He then withdrew £100 from the cash machine and handed it over to the homeless man.

In a CCTV footage, recorded on 28 September, the Liverpool forward was seen pulling up to a petrol station where an individual came to his attention. A homeless man, named David Craig, was being harassed by a group of youngsters who were busy hurling abuses at the poor individual. Coming to Craig's rescue, Salah asked the youth to stop and warned them that they could be in a similar position one day.

After aiding the poor man, the 29-year-old went over a cash machine nearby and withdrew £100 before handing it over to Craig.

"Mo was every bit as wonderful as he is for Liverpool on the pitch. He is a real-life hero in my eyes and I want to thank him,"

Craig, who also confirmed the amount of money received by him from Salah, told The Sun.

@MoSalah thank you for coming back to check on my boys after Louis KO’d himself trying to get a wave! He loves you so much and the pain went away instantly when you came to give them a hug. A nose reset worth well worth it he said. You are a top man and a true gent! #EgyptianKing pic.twitter.com/wrmHc4vxB9

This isn't the first time when Salah earned praise for his humane gesture.

Last year, the two-time EPL Golden Boot winner won over fans after going over to the residence of a young fan to check up on his well-being. The young boy, named Louis, had knocked himself out after chasing Salah's car at Liverpool street. His picture with the youngster had also gone viral on social media.
