For a team that had not won the Premier League in 30 years, Liverpool turned the clock back following their emphatic triumph last season. A 18-point difference between the Reds and their nearest rivals Manchester City was a reflection of their domination in the 2019/20 season. But, there are no guarantees in the Premier League which is what makes it one of the most exciting club competitions in the world.
Seeking successful title defence this season, Jurgen Klopp's men haven't exactly been the fluent, dominant champions fans are used to seeing. The EPL champions witnessed an early scare against Leeds United during their narrow 4-3 win. It was followed by a 2-0 win over Chelsea before another clinical performance, a 3-1 triumph, by the Reds against Arsenal.
