Cyberpunk 2077 Has Been Delayed Again & People Are Wondering If We'll At least Play It In 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced back in 2013 and they've been working on the game even before that. It's October in 2020 now and CD Projekt Red just announced that the game is delayed, again. The game is now slated to come out on December 10.

CD Projekt Red has issued an open letter in which they've explained the reason for their delay. They said creating and testing nine different versions of the game ahead of its launch. The game, in case you're wondering, will be compatible with current-generation as well as the new generation consoles. It's also coming to Windows and Google's Stadia platform.

The delay announcement was made last night along with a message from CD Projekt Red’s Adam Badowski and Marcin Iwinski. β€œMost likely, there are many emotions and questions in your heads, so, first and foremost, please accept our humble apologies," they said.

The game was originally scheduled to come out on April 16, 2020. Another delay was later announced in June when they said it was coming out on November 19. And now we have another delay. It's now expected to come out in December.

Just a 21-day delay to test such a massive game may seem unrealistic, but they say it'll really help them polish it and present a better version of the game. It has definitely pissed off a lot of people who had pre-ordered the game and were waiting for it. Twitter is filled with memes and angry tweets about the delay.

We just hope the game won't get delayed further and it will actually come out on December 10 this time as scheduled. It's indeed a tough pill to swallow, especially for the enthusiasts who've been waiting for it to come out for years, but we think it's for the best. As Shigeru Miyamoto, a legendary Japanese game designer once said, "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."
