Christmas cheer is a real phenomenon. Enter December, and the Christmas fervour amps up, noticeably all across the world, although you probably already know someone who isn’t even willing to wait until Thanksgiving to bring out the tree.

Now, while adults getting excited for Christmas is quite a sight, it’s a rather big deal for the kids, all with the decorations, Santa’s visit and a ton of gifts to unwrap on Christmas Day! It had been exactly the same in the Liddell household, with 7-year-old, Christmas-mad Jasmine waiting for the D-day to arrive soon.

And in keeping with his daughter’s love for the celebrations, 49-year-old Ray Liddell wanted to impress Jasmine with a spectacular Christmas decoration. That is when he decided to order an inflatable Grinch decoration. However, as luck would have it, what arrived was a 35-feet long inflatable Grinch - taller than even his house.

As per reports, Liddell reportedly paid about Rs 50,000 for the inflatable, however, he didn’t pay attention to the size measurements provided in the item description and ended up with the gigantic Grinch that now stands tall on his front porch. Soon people started dropping by to see the Grinch and took pictures with it.

That’s when a better idea struck Ray. He began asking the visiting families to consider making donations to Alice House Hospice. Why? Because Ray’s father recently passed away from coronavirus, and the Alice House Hospice have taken care of him until the very end, and Ray wanted to give back to the community in some way.

Talk about turning lemons into lemonade.
