Ever since their star-studded marriage in 2017, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have emerged as one of the leading 'power-couples' in the country. 

While Virat is hailed as a modern-day cricket legend, Anushka has carved her own niche in Bollywood on the back of mesmerising performances on the screen.

Their popularity has also allowed them to garner millions of followers on social media. Whether it's their touching messages or cure photographs together, the social media posts put up by the duo have a tendency of capturing the imagination of fans like no other. 

That's probably why social media was abuzz when the couple shared the news that they are expecting their first child in January next year.

To put things in perspective, Kohli's tweet announcing his wife Anushka's pregnancy on Twitter has become the 'most liked and quoted tweet' of 2020 for sports. 

The tweet has garnered over 69k retweets and over 645k likes on the micro-blogging website. Sharing a picture of himself alongside Anushka wh had a baby bump, the Indian captain had tweeted: "And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021".

But, their domination isn't just restricted to Twitter. When it comes to Instagram, Virat and Anushka have been equally dominating. 

The duo has found a place on the list of top Instagram influencers worldwide. The Indian captain remains the highest-ranked Indian after occupying the 11th spot, while his wife Anushka is placed at the 24th position in the coveted list.

Hype Auditor, a global data collection and analysis platform, has prepared the unique list after ranking top 1,000 Instagram accounts based on the quality of audience and authentic engagement. 

Apart from Kohli, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been ranked 17th in the list which is led by football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo whose authentic engagement has been estimated at 4.5 million per post.

The other Indians to feature among the top 50 global Instagram influencers are actresses Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. While Katrina has been ranked 43rd in the list, Deepika finds herself six spots below at the 49th position.

On 11th December, Virat and Anushka also celebrated their third marriage anniversary. 

The Indian captain had taken to Instagram to share a beautiful photo of himself alongside Anushka from their marriage ceremony in Italy. "3 years and onto a lifetime together," he captioned the post which has garnered over 56 million likes on Instagram.
