The world has been wondering about the iPhone 8 design and specs for months; however, the latest leaks are now coming in from the supply and production chain! These new leaks are supposedly of the moulds that are going to be used to make the new iPhone models.

These pictures first surfaced on Slashleaks Twitter page and it gave us a closer look at the final design of the iPhone 8. These moulds appear to be identical to the latest leaks that have been going around on the internet.

However, more images of the iPhone 8 moulds were leaked from a second source that re-affirms the previous leak by Slashleaks. These images look identical to the dummy model that was shared last week. Benjamin Geskin suggests that the mould design is indicative of the Touch ID NOT being at the back of the smartphone and is either embedded below the screen or is going to be integrated with the power button.

The mould also shows that there will be three models that can be expected from Apple i,e, the iPhone 7s, the iPhone 7s Plus and the iPhone 8. One can see that the 7s and the 7s Plus have the same dimensions as the current generation of iPhones whereas the iPhone 8 is reportedly around 5-inches to 5.8-inches. Although, these images might manifest in the final design, we should not be getting ahead of ourselves. Ultimately, these designs will only be confirmed once Apple claims it themselves.

Geskin appears to be very confident about the fact that the Touch ID sensor will not be on the back of the upcoming iPhone. The mould of the iPhone 8 does not accurately reflect the placement of the fingerprint sensor and Geskin speculateswhether it would either be under the screen or will be integrated into the power button on the side.
