Twitter is flooded with congratulatory messages for the new couple who are painting the town red with their love. India’s leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot on Tuesday with choreographer Dhanashree Verma. They shared the adorable pictures on Instagram and wrote, "22.12.20 We started at “Once upon a time” and found “Our happily ever after,” coz’ finally, #DhanaSaidYuz for infinity & beyond!!"

While Dhanashree decked up in a maroon lehenga, Yuzvendra complemented her in an ivory sherwani with a maroon turban.

The First ‘Mulakat’

It cannot get more filmy than this. Chahal was taking dance classes from Dhanashree and that's how they started to meet and interact. They first became friends and soon realized that it was more than just friendship.

Dhanashree told Hindustan Times, “It started as a student-teacher relationship in April. He had seen my dance videos on YouTube and knew about my work. During the lockdown, Yuzi decided to learn a few new things, including dance. So, he got in touch with me and we started our classes. Slowly we became friends and sort of felt a connection.”

Lockdown Love

The lockdown gave them ample time to get to know each other and understand if they are compatible with each other. Dhanashree said, “Yuzi is humble, down-to-earth, friendly, and a total family guy. His humility bowled me over. The kind of values I’ve been brought up with, I actually wanted someone like him as my life partner. We both are ambitious and are supportive of each other’s profession. We both are fun-loving, so there’s never going to be a dull moment.”

Finally, The BIG Wedding Day!

They kept the details under wraps as they wanted to follow the COVID norms and got married at Karma Lake Resort in Gurugram.
