Wasim Jaffer Comes Up With Another 'Secret Message' For Ajinkya Rahane Ahead Of 3rd Test

Wasim Jaffer might have quietly walked into the shadows after calling time on his cricket career in March last year, but there is no shortage of fan-following or popularity for the Vidarbha legend.

His exploits in domestic cricket and a brief stint on the international circuit might have gone unnoticed, but Jaffer, in recent months, has captured the imagination of fans like no other.

Dear @ajinkyarahane88, here's a (hidden) message for you. Good luck for Boxing Day!

The former Indian opener has carved his own niche on social media on the back of his know-how of the game and honest opinions which continue to strike a chord with fans.Β

After India's dismal show at the Adelaide Oval, Jaffer had grabbed everyone's attention with a cryptic message he shared on social media for stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane.

Today I had nice filter coffee by the lake. Amazing how fish can breathe underwater. Then I walked past a potrait of Che Guevara before bumping into an old pal from Dombivali who now has a restaurant in Borivali.

Btw good luck for SCG test @ajinkyarahane88 #Decode ?? #AUSvIND

Continuing his tradition, Jaffer has once again come up with another secret message for Rahane in his latest post on Twitter.Β

"Today I had nice filter coffee by the lake. Amazing how fish can breathe underwater. Then I walked past a portrait of Che Guevara before bumping into an old pal from Dombivali who now has a restaurant in Borivali. Btw good luck for SCG test @ajinkyarahane88," he tweeted.

Just like last time, Jaffer's tweet probably hinted towards India's batting line-up for the 3rd Test.Β

Going by his words, filter coffee could mean KL Rahul (owing to his fiasco on Indian chat show), 'fish breathe' was a reference to Shubman Gill, 'Che' was Cheteshwar Pujara, 'Old Pal' from Dombivali was a hint for Rohit Sharma and 'Borivali' points out Rahane.

While Jaffer seems to have made his prediction, India will be eager to carry on the winning momentum, following their brilliant comeback win in Melbourne, when they take the field at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) against Australia in the 3rd Test, slated to begin from 7th January.
