While the lucky fans in our country have blocked November 19 for experiencing Coldplay live, in another world, the news floating around is not a happy one. According to recent reports, the BJP government is getting a lot of flak from Congress for giving major concessions for the concert, as a ploy for getting more votes in the coming year’s polls.

Twitter, the ranting ground, of course roared back in chorus.
Not making this up: Congress wants @Coldplay Mumbai concert scrapped because BJP 'using it to woo voters & violating Municipal poll code'.

— Karan Bhasin (@KaranBhasin13) November 4, 2016Go home, Congress. You’re drunk, beaten, slapped, humiliated and have been looking like a caricature for a long time now. https://t.co/2tZ47sRtHS
— Jaskirat Singh Bawa (@JaskiratSB) November 4, 2016Was a political intervention really required for this? Can our country no longer enjoy the freedom to experience art without impromptu delays anymore? We know. This angers us as much as it angers you right now.
