In an alternate universe, if things were panning out differently, we’d be virtually celebrating Sushant Singh Rajput’s 35th birthday today. 

The Indian superstar would have been replying, Tweeting, sharing stories or perhaps even some heartfelt anecdotes had we not lost him last year.

While celebs and loyal fans have flooded social media with a lot of love and nostalgia for Sushant Singh Rajput’s birthday, Twitter warrior aka Kangana Ranaut has some special messages for his birthday and his fans. 

The Queen actor urged everyone to celebrate today as #SushantDay and expressed regret on not doing enough, understanding and being there for him while he was struggling in the Bollywood industry.

Kangana also used Sushant's birthday to serve a stark reminder of the treatment, which according to Kangana, he 'endured' at the hands of the ‘Bollywood mafia’ and decided to chart out a chronology of his alleged 'murder'. 

She further explained how he defied the Yash Raj group and the 'KJO gang' and ended up in the alleged trap of director Mahesh Bhatt who, in her words, tried to turn him into 'another version of late actress Parveen Babi'.

Decided to take the matter in his hands, after blockbuster Dhoni KJO promised SSR a franchise but instead dumped him. SSR said he was heartbroken about it.

Kangana has been a staunch supporter of fighting for justice for Sushant. In her endeavour to throw light on matters which need reflection, she has been dragging literally the entire industry and often indulges in name-calling, particularly for those people who she thinks made outsiders like her and Sushant 'suffer'.  

Many people, including Rhea Chakraborty and her brother have been under the scanner and suffered the consequences of the system during the probe into the case.

When the probe began last year, a lot of big names like Deepika Padukone, Sara Khan, and even his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande were called for the investigation. The case is still ongoing.

Sushant Singh’s last movie outing was Dil Bechara which was released post his sad demise. It was a remake of The Fault In Our Stars and starred newcomer Sanjana Sanghi in the lead role opposite him.  

We pray for the peace of his soul and hope the mark he left in the hearts of his fans will keep shining bright.
