We keep on hearing about credit card frauds often. But mostly what happens is that a stranger tricks a person into giving their personal information. Recently, a Dubai-based woman reported that her credit card was hacked but what happened next is something beyond our expectations.
The woman found out that her husband used her credit card to pay his girlfriend’s traffic fine. She had received a notification about the transaction from her bank. She then contacted the bank to block her card and also reported the same to the police believing that her credit card had gotten stolen.

Captain Abdullah Al Shehi, Deputy Director of Cyber-Crime Department at Dubai Police told Gulf News that the police received a complaint from a woman saying that a stranger used her credit card to pay traffic fine. However, her card wasn’t hacked but bigger news was waiting for her.
It was later found out that the woman who used the credit card was the girlfriend of the card owner’s husband. Captain Al Shehi said, "We tracked the purchase transaction and identified the woman who used the card. She was summoned to the Cyber-Crime Department for questioning and the surprise was she didn’t know her male friend was married.”

Things started going downhill for the woman who didn’t know that the man was married until the girlfriend was called for a police investigation at the station.
The cop also said, "It was a strange case because the wife didn’t know that her husband used her credit card to pay his friend’s traffic fine. The friend didn’t know that he was married and the wife didn’t know that he had a girlfriend.”
