Mohit Suri’s 2014 film Ek Villain is all set to come back with a sequel. The film’s sequel is said to release in theatres on February 11, 2022. Also, the film is titled Ek Villain Returns and the action-thriller will feature actors John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles.

Not only this, John Abraham took to Twitter and shared the first look of the film and wrote, “Iss kahaani ka hero, villain hai!#EkVillainReturns, 11th Feb, 2022.”

Mohit Suri said in a statement, “Ek Villain was my passion project and a labor of love. The kind of love that I still receive for ‘Ek Villain’ overwhelms me. I am sure with ‘Ek Villain Returns’, the love is only going to grow bigger. And while I cannot reveal much about the film, I can assure you that it is going to be a thrilling rollercoaster ride."

The first part Ek Villain featured Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead role and was a revenge drama that revolved around a criminal whose wife was murdered by a serial killer.

In the film, Sidharth Malhotra plays the role of a gangster Guru whose life changes after he falls in love with Aisha (Shradha Kapoor) and then decides to walk on the right path. But, then Aisha gets murdered by a serial killer and then Guru once again begins to search for the murderer who killed Aisha.
