Kangana Ranaut doesn’t leave any opportunity to give it back to people she has strong opinions against. Just a day after the Income Tax Department sent their teams to Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap’s residences and found discrepancies of around Rs 300 crores in the case of the director and Rs 50 crores in the actor’s case, Kangana launched an attack against them on her Twitter feed in the morning.

She blasted the two and tweeted, “Is it a coincidence that each and every stakeholder of Phantom n Kwan has been accused by multiple women of rape, molestation n harassment. If you don’t respect women, your very moral fibre is wrong, you are a born criminal, industry killed #MeToo but look one can’t escape karma.”

Soon after her tweet started to get traction, people began bashing her for supporting the government that’s not taking care of the rising rapes and crime rate in the country. People reminded her of how prominent leaders were also involved in sexual assault cases.

Kangana has time and again called Taapsee a ‘B grade’ actor. A while ago, Taapsee gave it back without even mentioning her name and suggested that it is in Kangana's DNA to be toxic and abusive. Taapsee wrote, "But what if those are the basics of someone’s DNA? Or RNA? Or even platelets." She had said in her tweet that Kangana's reaction would have been 'funny' had it not been 'toxic or abusive'. 

Coming back to the IT raid, the Income Tax Department, in a news release, said, “during the search, evidence of huge suppression of income by the leading film production house compared to the actual box office collections has been unearthed. The company officials have not been able to explain the discrepancy of around Rs 300 crore.” 

"Evidence related to manipulation and under-valuation of share transactions of the production house amongst the film directors and shareholders, having tax implication of about Rs 350 crore has been found and is being further investigated," it said. 

"Evidence of cash receipts by the leading actress amounting to Rs 5 crore has been recovered. Further investigation is going on," the department said, without naming Pannu.
