The Harvard report elaborated on how the Yogi government ‘model’ took care of migrants through a combined mechanism of prevention from a pandemic, sustenance of their families, employment arrangements along skill mapping and other logistics.
Here’s what people on the internet have to say about this-
Nothing happens without a quid pro quo when ‘big’ names like Harvard are involved..
— Oceanic! (@OshoGopi) April 8, 2021Lmao. They’re praising him because he unknowingly allowed them to steal personal data from millions of people. Which would give them a chance to analyse, study and attack India even more effectively.
— Millennial Baba (@BabaMillennial) April 8, 2021As if we care what Harvard says. Country has stopped running on some else’s approval or so called research long time ago we do what’s good for everyone and by law, as simple as that

— OmShantiOm11🇮🇳 (@OmShantiSanghi) April 8, 2021The state government had formulated a plan to ensure the proper and safe return of migrants and also focused on creating employment opportunities for them.
The study said, “The state government, in consonance with the Central government, took a holistic approach towards addressing the crisis.”
Also, apart from providing buses and train services for stranded migrants, the state government also provided facilities for state travel.
The state government collaborated with the Indian railways and arranged over 1604 trains and brought back over 21 lakh migrants through shramik trains.
This was almost 80 percent of the total migrants who returned to the state.
