While the BJP losing the West Bengal elections to TMC was met with celebration by a section of people, what happened post elections is something that left everyone in a state of complete shock.
In the last few days, it was been reported that there has been major violence in the state, as both the BJP and the TMC have been accusing each other consistently of brutality.

Recently, West Bengal BJP released a video using a photo of Abhro Banerjee, a journalist from India Today and claimed that it's Momik Moitra.
According to BJP, party workers Momik Moitra along with Mintu Barman were killed in Sitalkuchi in the post-poll violence, but the identity and existence of 'Momik Moitra' could not be verified.

The video was posted on the official page of West Bengal BJP, which has now been taken down but is still there on the BJP4India handle.
The video has been watched innumerable times now by people on Twitter.
Following the gaffe, Abhro Banerjee took to Twitter himself to clarify that it's not him in the video.
He wrote "I am Abhro Banerjee, living and hale and hearty and around 1,300 km away from Sitalkuchi. BJP IT Cell is now claiming I am Manik Moitra and died in Sitalkuchi. Please don't believe these fake posts and please don't worry. I repeat: I am (still) alive"

Abhro further said, "I woke up a little late this morning and saw over 100 missed calls. Even before I could check what happened, my friend, Arvind, told me that the BJP IT cell has used my picture in place of Manik Moitra who had allegedly died in Sitalkuchi."

In the violence that took place in West Bengal, at least six people died and BJP claimed that TMC people killed at least 14 of their party workers.
In the video, BJP showed clips of the alleged attacks on the workers. But, instead of adding pictures of 'Momik Moitra', a picture of Abhro Banerjee was put up.
