Renowned Indian television and film actor Sushant Singh had a rather sarcastic response for social networking giant Twitter and PM Narendra Modi after his personal Twitter was withheld.

In a conversation with India Today, the actor had said he did not know exactly why his account was blocked. "I don't know what happened. I was not given any intimation." he said.

Sushant who started his Bollywood journey with Ram Gopal Varma's Satya is known to speak his mind beyond just the matters of film and television has had his Twitter account suspended in the past as well.

Asked if the action was meant to curb the freedom of speech in the country, Sushant said, "That's what it looks like." However, soon after news broke of the incident, many users including Swara Bhaskar joined in to question why the actor's account had been suspended.
