It's almost exhausting to jot down the list of issues that continue to pile up and divide opinions in our country at the moment.

Whether it is the shortage of vaccines needed to control the Covid situation or the Indian government's recent row with Twitter over the new guidelines for social media platforms in the country, things certainly aren't getting any easier.

Having said that, on Thursday (May 27), former NDTV journalist Nidhi Razdan took to Twitter to issue a tweet criticizing the Indian government's stance on the vaccine situation as well as its fight with Twitter.

The 44-year-old Indian journalist and TV personality said in her tweet, "The country desperately needs vaccines to save lives. But the GOI is busy fighting with Twitter."

It is truly not news that India lacks the number of vaccines to cater to its 139 crore population. With the current production of Covishield and Covaxin not sufficient, the government is already planning to roll out Russia's Sputnik V from the second week of June and has also held positive talks with Pfizer to bring in more vaccines.

However, the truth remains that the disastrous second wave of Covid-19 infections severely exposed the country's need for more vaccines, with experts urging the country to bolster the vaccination program to avoid or at least contain the third wave.

Now, it appears that Nidhi Razdan's Tweet to the government was meant to instill just that, however, it is her second part of the tweet about the government's row with Twitter that got people confused.

People replied to her post pointing out her mistake of confusing the responsibilities of India's health ministry with the IT ministry.

Mam, with due respect, i want to tell you that there is a difference between IT Ministry and Health ministry. A person must have knowledge of such basic difference else he/she can land up in imaginary Harvard University created some Lakirchand ka Fakirchand.
Thanks..!!

Miss Harvard, The Ministry of Information Technology does not make vaccines, the Ministry of Health makes it. So let them do their work.

IT minister should work on vaccination? Or should they find another better vaccine? What do you expect them to do at this time?

Sab apke jaise talented nahi hote na madam jo NDTV & Harvard university dono jagah kaam kar le...

The world is fighting a pandemic,
& Nation, fighting multiple threats..biological, financial, security, virtual..

Harward rejected journalists meanwhile: pic.twitter.com/4cfG4pExaw

When the ghastly events of 26/11 were unfolding, the Entertainment section of NDTV was publishing attractive photographs of models and actors.

Not criticizing that, just saying that each section/department has its assigned job which goes on even amidst a crisis.

And so says the wise Harvard professor

— Dilpreet Kaur (@KaurDils) May 27, 2021

So, Modi, Amit etc should go to the lab and start cooking the vaccines??

— Syntax Error (@SyntaxErrorism) May 27, 2021

Dear Harvard professor, Delhi Police and Ravi Shankar Prasad are not doctors. Unhe to apna kaam karne De 🤣

— KR!T!KA (@Kritikashah_7) May 27, 2021

Country is fighting hard inspite of sudden surge, limited resources and winning battle against Covid and ensuring vaccination but some disgruntled and agenda driven media / journalists are busy fighting Modi ...

— S S Singh (@Singh2639) May 27, 2021

Twitter tagged a post with “manipulated media”, it is therefore logical to ask them what information they had to reach that conclusion. In a pandemic, govt isn’t obliged to give a free run to everyone 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, IT ministry doesn’t make vaccine decisions.

— नम्रता (@_Namrataa) May 27, 2021

By this logic, Defence Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, Ministry of Environment, Food, Education, Law, Transport and every other ministry must quit what they are doing right now and focus on only vaccines.

Isiliye Harvard walon ne beizzati karke bhaga diya tha 🤦🏻‍♂️

if companies are not manufacturing what can any Government do.. it's not like cooking food.

Journalist should develop some brain.
