This Hearing-Impaired Girls Performance On Americas Got Talent Is Proof That No Dream Is Too Big


There's nothing that can’t be achieved with the right will power and determination. Twenty-nine-year-old Mandy Harvey lost her hearing ability at the age of 18 due to a disorder. But that didn't stop her from pursuing her dream and hobby - singing. You'd think how could a person continue to learn singing and croon when they can't hear. That’s also probably what the judges and audience at ‘America’s Got Talent’ thought when Mandy stood on stage to sing.

But if you love something dearly, and put in all your heart into it, even the universe bows down in front of you. Mandy had been learning how to sing from a very early age. But at the age of 18, she got what started as an ear infection but was actually a connective tissue disorder and left her completely deaf.

She didn’t give up. 

She continued to learn music and sing. Much of it was through muscle memory, visual tuners and vibrations. It’s only natural that she chose to sing a song called ‘Try’ that she wrote herself.
