Well, if one believes that, then there'd be no denying that a space ride with the second richest man on Earth and his brother ain't gonna come for free either.

In fact, the price is just 28 million dollars, and well, there is a winner of course.

During a Saturday live auction for a seat on Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin spacecraft, the winning bid came in at a staggering $28 million.

"The winner will be joining Blue Origin's founder Jeff Bezos on the New Shepard spacecraft for an 11-minute trip to the edge of space scheduled to blast off on July 20. The name of the winner will be released in coming weeks," said Blue Origin in a statement.

Saturday's bidding had reportedly opened up at $4.8 million, before quickly shooting up to $28 million.

The auction for the seat on the inaugural crewed New Shepard flight was opened on May 5 with more than 7,000 people from 159 countries registering for it.

"Some of those bidders will be contacted about taking a seat on future space flights," said the company.

Bezos is planning to fly off to space along with his younger brother, Mark on July 20, 15 days after he is expected to resign as CEO from Amazon.
