The ridiculous list of demands being made by Sushil Kumar seems to be endless as on Sunday, officials revealed that the two-time Olympic medallist requested a television in Tihar jail in order to keep himself updated with the latest happenings in the wrestling world.

According to a News 18 report, Kumar urged to have a TV set up brought to him through his advocate to a senior jail official.

This isn’t the first time the 38-year old athlete had expressed the need to have a luxury while being under police and judicial custody. 

Ever since getting arrested in the murder case of fellow wrestler, Sagar Dhankar, he has also demanded special nutritional supplements like Omega 3 capsules, pre-workout supplements, a protein shake and multivitamin pills among other things, in order to get a proper “wrestler’s diet”. 

A regular jail’s diet, which consists of five rotis, two vegetables, dal and rice, which the inmates get twice a day, is not good enough for the athlete.

Back when the Delhi Police were finally able to get their hands on Kumar, who had been absconding for over two weeks since Dhankar’s death, he was full of regret, had refused to eat anything, had sleepless nights in the Model Town police station, while crying on the floor.

Today, the murder-accused seems to be enjoying his life behind bars as he gets to make such luxurious demands, carry out detailed photo-shoots with the police right at the front gate of one of the biggest prisons of the world and remain all smiles as he makes his way inside.

"The one who murdered my son does not deserve to be called a mentor. All the medals won by Sushil Kumar should be taken from him. We believe that police will investigate properly but Sushil will try to influence it by using his political links," Rana's mother argued, according to India Today.

"We are hoping for justice. Where did he go when he was absconding, who gave him shelter, and most importantly the gangsters with whom he is connected to. He should be hanged so that people learn a lesson and think before killing his own pupil," said Rana’s father.
