Our democratic rights and the power to exercise freedom of speech has ensured that everyone gets to express their views and use the power of the internet to echo them for others to agree or disagree. Bollywood has been time and again accused of hurting religious sentiments with the kind of content that filmmakers sometimes project.
While a lot of things get lost in translation, some things just outright don’t go down well with a particular community. Saif Ali Khan’s poster from his upcoming movie Bhoot Police is under the radar after the poster has been accused of hurting Hindu sentiments.
View this post on InstagramThe thing that triggered this wave of displeasure is the showcase of ‘sadhus’ in the background of the poster. People are offended and it's a sacrilegious act.
In the #BhootPolice poster ...why the Hindu sadhus been displayed.. why not paster or clerik..
Hope #SaifAliKhan not been learnt from Tandav...
We are now itself #boycottbhootpolice ...

#SaifAliKhan was part of #Tandav web series which was Boycotted being against #Hindutva
Now I think #SaifAliKhan is real #Bhoot

Saif is facing the brunt of this heat because last time as well, his series Taandav was accused of triggering anti-Hindutva sentiments.
#SaifAliKhan is real #Bhoot. He was part of #Tandav web series which was Boycotted being against #Hindutva. He is kind of 3rd class actor who even don't deserve to be in role of Rawan in #Adipurush #BhootPolice pic.twitter.com/pX2TNGZqCr

However, a lot of people are trying to infuse some logical explanation for this aesthetic imagery and explaining that since the movie is titled Bhoot Police, it is possible that ‘sadhus’ will be a part of the script.
Firstly, why a work of fiction can't be just treated as a work of FICTION
The movie is called Bhoot Police for fks sake
They've added some images of Aghori Sadhus and Tantriks because they are supposed to have supernatural abilities
What's wrong in that?
What's ur problem? It's about Bhoot. So definitely there will be some tantric symbols here and there
