'Intelligent Buy': What Shilpa Had Said When Raj Kundra Gifted Her An IPL Team For V-Day

All the fame, private jets, magnificent properties, and fancy trips to scenic locations across the world - there really was a time when most people could not have imagined what it must have felt like to be in the shoes of businessman Raj Kundra and his wife Shilpa Shetty.

Speaking after receiving the stake from her husband, Shilpa had labeled the investment an "intelligent idea".

"Idea Raj ka tha aur jab woh proposal lekar aaye invest karne ka. Maine socha ki yeh bohut accha khayal hai aur intelligent business strategy hai. Since it something that is watched all over India and even internationally and it can't be a losing proposition. (The idea was Raj's as he brought up the proposal to invest. I thought it was a good idea and an intelligent business strategy).

Umm, not really. Considering it came right after the 2008 financial crisis! But okay, who are we to judge that? We have to think a hundred times before buying an expensive shoe from the mall.

Anyway, apparently, the interviewer had the same concern after which Shilpa was asked why the couple was interested in investing a staggering amount of 100 crores at the time of recession.

Well, this is what Shilpa had to say,

"Investment intelligent tab hota hai when you feel that you don't have a fear in investing. (It's an intelligent investment when you feel that you don't have a fear of investing.)"

"Fear bilkul nahi hai because it's a sound team. Recession ho kuch bhi ho, cricket is something will never go out of style. (I don't have any fear as even if it's a recession, cricket will never go out of style.)"

Damn Girl! There's one thing being not scared and another to spend 100 crores in a business at the time of a really f***** up market.

Anyway, in 2013, both Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra were infamously banned for life from cricket activities after a betting scandal was discovered.
Guess there are some things you should really be scared about? (Fin)

Well, guess what?
