Many industries came to a standstill amid the pandemic in 2020, and many people lost their jobs too. While it became a difficult time for survival, Ronit Roy too recently opened up about losing work due to the covid-19 situation.

But, during the pandemic, Ronit's agency suffered, and he considered shutting it down. Instead, he kept his employees on payrolls as they needed funds to run their families. The actor also shared that the only people from the industry who came forward to help him were Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar. 

Speaking to ETimes, Ronit said that the COVID situation indefinitely affected his business. "Post lockdown in March 2020, I decided to shut down my security agency. My wife Neelam and I sat down and realised that there was a lot happening; some worker's wife was pregnant, someone's mother was unwell. I decided to keep them on the roster. As for my clients, the so-called stars, they went away. Only a few, in fact, just two - Mr Bachchan and Akshay Kumar - stood by me in the lockdown and I am very grateful to them."

When asked about the clients who worked with him, he said, "Those clients cannot be short on money. A few of them decided to approach and come back to me, but I refused to work with them."
