A few days ago, social media site Twitter was abuzz with a trending hashtag which read #boycottradhikaapte. The reason was an old clip from her movie Parched, which randomly got viral and an intimate scene of her with fellow actor Adil Hussain came up in the controversy.

Looks like the trend did not die down as expected because a lot of people continue staying upset over this particular scene, which was apparently imperative to the script. In a recent interview, her co-star Adil Hussain spoke up and shared his two cents. He said that lack of education leads to stuff like this trending online and that a lot of people cannot differentiate between art and porn.

"I got to know about it a couple of days back when I saw some Google alerts. I think it’s ridiculous to troll Radhika or make a big deal about that scene. I don’t pay much attention to such things at all. I just think the only way to respond to it is, that you don’t (respond at all). There is a difference between art and porn; art is still questioned”. And so he went on calling it an issue of "lack of education" among people and that’s why such topics trend on Twitter.”

The actor will now be seen in Bell Bottom which stars Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. Radhika Apte has been blamed for defaming Hindu culture and has often been trolled for her choice of movies. However, she has a stellar fan following who love her work and continue supporting her, come what may.
