The last year and a half has been a reality check in more ways than one. Not too long ago, anything upending our ways of life as drastically as the pandemic has, was utterly unimaginable.

There are barely any industries that have made out of this in one piece, including the previously invulnerable Bollywood. Several actors made conscious moves to step away from the limelight to focus on themselves and their families in these trying times. 

However, there are a select few actors who have defied expectations and haven’t let the pandemic affect their shooting schedules. Come hail or sunshine, their projects remain firmly on track, sometimes even juggling multiple projects at the same time. 

In no particular order, here are five actors who have managed to stay employed with six or more movies in the works:

1. Alia Bhatt

Nobody could have predicted Alia Bhatt’s steady but stratospheric rise when she debuted with Student Of The Year in 2012. Over the decade, her talent has nurtured a workhorse-like ethic, ensuring her schedule’s always full: Jee Le Zara, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Darlings, RRR, Brahmāstra, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

2. Akshay Kumar

Undoubtedly one of the busiest actors in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar continues to be in demand even during COVID times, a difficult feat at a further difficult time. The ‘BellBottom’ actor will be next seen in: Prithiviraj, Sooryavanshi, Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Ram Setu, Raksha Bandhan, Cinderella.

3. Ajay Devgn

The man doesn’t seem to age, and neither do his successes. Freshly riding the wave of success of Bhuj: The Pride Of India, Ajay Devgn has become a reliable star that many filmmakers like to bank on.
