Not everyone in Bollywood can do stunts on their own. Not just in action scenes, but sometimes, in their absence, the role is played by a body double who closely resembles the celebrity.  

In Bollywood movies, too, we have witnessed several stars with their body doubles. For example, there was a time when Meezaan Jaffrey played Ranveer's body double in Padmaavat. 

Even Salman Khan's dangerous stunts are mostly performed by his body double Parvez Kazi.

But did you know that someone famous played Jimmy Sheirgill's body double in the movie My Name Is Khan? Yes, it was Varun Dhawan. 

He ventured into Bollywood in 2012 with Student Of The Year, but before that, he was Karan Johar's assistant for My Name Is Khan. However, in one of the scenes, Varun's face is a tad bit visible. 

An Instagram page shared this video, and it even had an image from the scene.

As soon as this post went live, fans were shocked to see it. One user commented, Oh my god! I never noticed." While another one said, "What an observation bro @bollywoodranker."

In an interview, Varun had said that My Name Khan is the reason for his transformation. 

In 2019, as the movie celebrated nine years of its release, Varun shared behind the scenes pictures with Sidharth Malhotra, who was also an assistant director for the movie. 

He said, "#9YearsOfMNIK a movie I learnt soo a lot on. It virtually modified my life. Additionally, that is the one image I've the place @abhivarman is smiling. Thanks @karanjohar."

Karan had also said that Varun gave autographs, even before becoming an actor. 

He tweeted, "So many brilliant memories I have!!! Specially of you signing autographs when you were an AD (not a star) and of SID's stoic silences in the face of adversity!!! And of @abhivarman smiling!! A rare sight!!!!"

Varun is a part of Jug Jugg Jeeyo by Raj Mehta. The movie also stars Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Besides that, he also has horror-comedy Bhediya and Sriram Raghavan's film Ekkis in the pipeline.
