A restaurant owner in Greater Noida was shot dead on Tuesday night after a feud due to the delayed order, as per the police. 

The food was taking longer than expected to be prepared, which led to a commotion at the restaurant between the staff and the delivery personnel which led to a major argument, following which the intervention of the owner was needed.

The victim named Sunil Agarwal was a 38-year-old man who owned a restaurant named Zam Zam at Mitra Enclave. He was caught in an argument between staff and delivery food agents over delayed orders when three men opened fire for no apparent reason. They weren't even connected to the order or the delivery agents in any way, according to a Hindustan Times report.

The delivery agent arrived at the restaurant to collect the order and was asked to wait as one of the items was still getting prepared. 

As per the deputy commissioner of police, Vishal Pandey, around ten delivery agents were waiting for the order at around 12:15 am as 15 food items were getting prepared. This was when the disagreement happened, which led to further events and finally, Agarwal's death.

Pandey said, "A Swiggy delivery boy was engaged in a heated argument with restaurant staff, Narayan, over a delay in food. When the restaurant owner Sunil Agarwal reached there to intervene, someone opened fire from outside the restaurant, and the bullet hit Agarwal in the head."

Pandey also mentioned that police asked the delivery agents about all the people present there but could not find any evidence of the murder. Hence a case was registered for the missing people from the scene under section 302. 

The news also went viral as the earlier suspect was the food delivery agent. Abhishek, the deputy commissioner of police, Greater Noida, mentioned that a search was started for the three suspects. 

In the recent news, the police clarified that the food delivery agent was not involved in the owner's death. 

The three accused have finally been arrested after a long chase. The accused Vikas was shot in the leg with Devender and Sunil, who tried to run.

DCP Pandey said, "The three were hanging around outside the restaurant in an inebriated state when a food delivery agent was arguing with the restaurant staff. They somehow got involved and shot the restaurant owner who was trying to intervene. They appeared to be drunk."

He also said that the three men were waiting outside the restaurant on a bike and later approached the owner trying to appease the delivery boy. Amongst the three, Vikas shot the owner. The police have also found the murder weapon and a pistol. Vikas is getting treated at the hospital, but the men have now surrendered.
