No Relief In Sight For Aryan Khan As His Bail Plea Gets Denied

The ongoing drug controversy surrounding Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan gets murkier.

What began as a raid on a cruise ship to bust the drug racket has taken a ‘filmy’ turn after suddenly, the onus has shifted to the star kid and somewhere, the underbelly of drug mafia and presence of people consuming drugs has taken a backseat as a national topic of interest.

After being arrested during a raid on 2nd October, Aryan Khan, along with several other prime accused have been in NCB custody and then judicial custody.

The hearing yesterday concluded with him continuing to be detained and today, his lawyers were to apply for interim bail.

In the latest development, Aryan Khan has been denied bail by the court.

Amongst the arguments being debated around his possible release, the NCB exclaimed that releasing him could mean more harm to this case as he could tamper with evidence or influence witnesses.

“They are influential persons... is a chance of tampering with evidence. Had it been one person with a small quantity, it would be different. We have a lot of material... protection like bail at this stage will hamper the investigation," Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh was quoted.

Aryan Khan’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde argued that as per the NCB raid, no rugs were found on his client or in his bags.

He released a statement on behalf of his client to the court which read as follows:

“Not a single material to disclose any conspiracy... no material has been found on me or in my bag... where is the material to prosecute? Since I am not found in possession of anything I cannot be trucked with them (other accused, I have been found with nothing. Not even one gram... one ounce... and so much capital is being made out of it..." he said, arguing the arrest was "based on what they found on his mobile. Nothing much has emerged in five days and that is because there is nothing. I am from a respectable family... not likely to abscond. Accused who they say (are) connected to me already in their custody," Mr Maneshinde added.
