After a long wait and anticipation, the trailer of Kartik Aaryan's Dhamaka is out. In Dhamaka, Kartik will be essaying the character of a news anchor named Arjun Pathak and he does look promising. And we’re definitely looking forward to the release on 19 November on Netflix. The trailer shows Arjun getting a call about a bomb attack on Mumbai's Bandra Worli Sea Link during his radio programme. You will get to see the dilemma of a media personnel who is trying to fight his conscience as he gets stuck in a situation. He is torn between getting TRPs for the channel and his ethics.

Things get worse for Arjun when the terrorist tells him to call a minister and tell him to apologize otherwise he would blow up the remaining Sea Link and kill everyone there. It gets tricky for Arjun as his wife, played by Mrunal Thakur, who is a reporter and is at the crime scene.

Here’s the trailer:

In a statement, Kartik Aaryan said, “It became a cakewalk because of Ram Madhvani sir. He is a maverick. He shoots in a very different style. Everyone who knows him can vouch he is different as a director. The film is based in a room and everything is real. He has a unique filmmaking style where he never even says action and allows actors to start. 'I am at your service' is his line and he follows it to the T. It was challenging when I heard the script but he made it easy for me.”

People are loving the trailer and feel Kartik has nailed the character. They feel he has stepped out of his comfort zone and has shown that he is more than just an actor who does only boy-next-door roles. People are also appreciating the background score of the trailer. People went on to say that this was way too unexpected but Kartik has raised the bar by delivering a powerful performance in the trailer.
