While India is launching operations to bring its students back home from war-torn Ukraine, there is one braveheart who decided to stay back and fight for the country. The 21-year-old youth from Tamil Nadu, Sainikhesh Ravichandran didn’t even inform his family before joining the Georgian National Legion, Ukraine’s paramilitary unit of voluntary soldiers.

    © Twitter/NewsIADN
According to reports from TOI, he wanted to join the Indian Army and even attempted twice after he completed his schooling in 2018. However, he couldn’t make it into the Indian Armed Forces since he was not of the appropriate height to be selected.

Indian Army requires the candidates to be at least 157.5 cm in height (with relaxation up to 5 cms for candidates belonging to northeastern regions).

Upon failing the height criteria, Ravichandran then enrolled in National Aerospace University, Kharkiv in 2018 where he has been an aerospace engineering student. He also tried to join the US embassy but couldn't. He had been working a part-time job in a video game developing firm for a month.

When the opportunity to take up arms presented itself, he signed up for Ukraine's paramilitary unit to fight against Russia.

His family had no clue that he had taken up arms and got to know about Sainikhesh from the news and other people. A family friend told TOI, “When the war broke out, he was incommunicado for four days. That’s when we saw a report about a Tamil Nadu youth joining Ukrainian forces and we were shocked,”. His family tried to persuade him to come back home but he refused.

This proves that he is a soldier at heart who is fighting for the country he has been living in for almost four years now. We can only pray for his safe return.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, featuring Alia Bhatt in the lead role, was finally released in the theatres on February 25 and has performed well at the box office. The film is all set to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office and Alia too has been getting an encouraging response from critics as well as fans.
    View this post on Instagram
Recently, a blind article of Outlook India hinted a discrepancy in the box office collections of a recent "magnum opus of sorts" starring "an acclaimed actress". Reportedly, the weekend collection was portrayed to be double than the actual figures. After giving it a read, anyone can easily make out that the article talks about Alia's film.

While it is just speculation, Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the report by commenting on Gangubai Kathiawadi once again. Taking a dig at the film's box office collections, Kangana expressed that the Gangubai Kathiawadi team must had some obligations as they claimed that the film has been earning big bucks at the ticket window.
Sharing a screenshot of the blind article on her Instagram stories, the Queen actress wrote, "Achcha doodh mein pani to suna tha lekin pani me doodh…hmm… kya majbooriyaan rahi hongi becharon ki… (We have heard about the trend of diluting milk with water but here water seems to have been diluted with milk…. the helpless people must have had some obligations)".

Take a look at Kangana's Insta story below:

We wonder how Alia would react to it.

For the unversed, Kangana has been slamming Alia and the film's team even before its release. At first, she called out Bhansali for 'miscasting' Alia and called her a romantic bimbo, ‘papa ki pari’ and whatnot. She also claimed that around Rs. 200 crores would go to waste as 'Gangubai' would burn to ashes. However, nothing like that happened.
In fact, the film is maintaining well in the second week as well. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Gangubai Kathiawadi earned Rs. 92.22 crores at the domestic box office till the second Sunday (March 6).
#GangubaiKathiawadi remains the first choice of moviegoers on [second] Sun - also hits double digits - despite a strong opponent [#TheBatman]… Inches closer to ₹ 💯 cr… [Week 2] Fri 5.01 cr, Sat 8.20 cr, Sun 10.08 cr. Total: ₹ 92.22 cr. #India biz. pic.twitter.com/PClGaknP28

Alia is indeed at the peak of her career. After conquering Bollywood, she has bagged a big Hollywood project as well. She will be featuring alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the Netflix film Heart of Stone.

MS Dhoni has been widely regarded as one of the fittest Indian cricketers to have ever played the game for the country.
    © Reuters
Who can forget the night when his bullet speed running between the wickets left even arguably the fittest player in the team, Virat Kohli huffing and puffing for his breath in the famous T20I against Australia during Super 10 stage of the 2016 World T20 in Mohali.

Everybody knew how fit Dhoni was but his incredible athleticism on that night established him as the fittest guy in the whole squad.
It’s been close to two years since he called time on his international career and it’s his incredible fitness that has allowed him to continue playing in the world’s biggest T20 league even at this age. He will turn 41 on July 7.

However, it seems like his old age has slowly started to catch up with the legendary wicketkeeper-batter and it started to affect his fitness.
With only weeks left in the start of IPL 2022, Chennai Super Kings players have already begun their training, the visuals of which were shared by the franchise on its various social media handles.

The fans of the defending champions were excited to see their star cricketers sweating it out on the field but at the same time they were also worried about Dhoni’s bulked up physique. They couldn’t help but notice how overweight their ‘Thala’ was looking in those pictures.

Ravichandran Ashwin surpassed former India captain Kapil Dev's tally of 434 Test wickets to become the country's second-highest wicket-taker in the longest format of the game.
Ashwin dismissed Sri Lanka's Charith Asalanka to take his Test wicket tally to 345 in the first match of the two-game series against Sri Lanka in Mohali.
The off-spinner picked up another wicket in the same Test and now sits at second place in the list of leading wicket-takers for India with 436 scalps, only behind former captain and head coach Anil Kumble who had picked up 619 wickets.

Ashwin was in fine form with the ball but he was made to sit out in the four Test matches in England after the World Test Championship final which India lost to New Zealand.
His exclusion from the England Test series was heavily criticised by fans and experts who felt the team management missed a trick by not using the spinner's experience.
Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri (who were captain and coach in that series respectively) had to face a lot of flak on social media for making Ashwin sit on the bench.

Kapil Dev, whose record was broken was Ashwin, also opined similarly and said that had the 35-year-old spinner got more opportunities where he was made to sit outside, he would have gone past the 434-wicket mark a lot earlier.
“It’s a great achievement, especially from a guy who did not get enough opportunities in the recent past. Had he got those opportunities, he would have crossed 434 much earlier. I am happy for him; why should I hold it (the second position) from him? My time has passed,” Kapil was quoted as saying by Mid-Day.
The World Cup-winning captain also backed Ashwin to target the 500-wicket mark and wished him the best.

“Ashwin is a fabulous cricketer, an excellent and intelligent spinner. He should now target 500 Test scalps, which I am sure he will try and achieve. In fact, many more (wickets) than that,” Kapil added.
Fans reacted to Kapil Dev’s comments and blamed Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri for not giving Ashwin the game time that he deserved in overseas Tests.

    — shashank sri (@ravia123ash) March 8, 2022Ashwin would have done this feat only in 2019 if the coordination between Kohli and Shastri had been right. The point of 619 is lost, now it is not possible for Ashwin to go near Kumble.
    — Shivam Sharma (@greenghost52) March 6, 2022Ashwin has often warmed the bench outside the sub-continent and his recent performance in the Test series in South Africa did not help his cause.
With Ravindra Jadeja taking his batting to another level, it will be interesting to see whom India will pick as the specialist spinner when they tour overseas.

Fardeen Khan was last seen on-screen in the 2010 dud Dulha Mil Gaya. Post that, he took a sabbatical from films and now after 11 years, the actor is making a comeback with Sanjay Gupta’s Visfot co-starring Riteish Deshmukh.
The shooting of the film was recently wrapped and there are also reports of the actor returning to the No Entry franchise with its sequel alongside Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor.

In between, Fardeen had also gained a bit of weight and his pictures had gone viral on social media. When pointed out that many on social media believed that he must be going through some tough times, Fardeen told Bollywood Hungama that he indeed went through a dark time in his life.

He said, “After my father passed I needed some time off. I went through a tough time, I had a little bit of a health scare myself in 2009, just a few months after my father passed. And then we were very keen to have a family, Natasha and me. And we had challenges having children, so we had to go down the IVF route.”
He further talked about how they faced bad experiences with doctors in Mumbai and his wife suffered because of that. In 2011, they decided to move to London and revealed, “With Natasha’s one of her initial pregnancies, we had twins and we lost them at six months. So that was very very hard for us. It was a tough time. You know, she had to…she did a live birth and we lost the babies. It was very very tough.”
He then talked about how his daughter was eventually born and “she gave us a lot of joy.”

The actor further revealed that he had decided to make a comeback to films in 2013 and even planned a campaign but when he saw his daughter, he dropped the plan and decided to become a full-time dad to her.

The couple later gave birth to a baby boy and a few years after his birth, Fardeen decided it was time for him to return to films.

Something that will surely excite fans and get them on a nostalgic trip is the news that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is coming with No Entry 2.
The movie titled 'No Entry Me Entry', is the sequel of the 2005 super-hit comedy film No Entry that starred Salman, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Celina Jaitley, and Bipasha Basu.

Now, while we don't know if we will be seeing the entire cast back for the film, according to reports Salman, Anil, and Fardeen would surely be coming back for the sequel.

The movie will be directed by Aneez Bazmi, who has directed amazing laughter fests Akshay Kumar's Welcome, and others.
Bollywood has been high on bringing back nostalgia elements to films in recent times, with many movies seeing a return of old iconic soundtracks.
Well, with Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 set to release in theatres as well, No Entry 2 looks like another good movie option for fans to watch.

Now, the movie's producer Boney Kapoor has had some nice words to say about the upcoming film.

I had a year to finish it, and now, it’s ready and has turned out well. It’s one of my favourite scripts so far. We have titled it, ‘No Entry Mein Entry’. I would be thrilled to make it.” he said while speaking to the Bombay Times.
Salman will also be seen in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming Pathan, where he has a big cameo.

Kangana Ranaut, after a brief hiatus from the public’s eye following her Twitter ban, is back with Alt Balaji’s controversial new show Lock Upp.
While recent memory may have her popularised for her rabble-rousing way, she is also an accomplished actress, lest her slew of under-performing films of late have you convinced otherwise.
    © Kangana Ranaut
On March 7th, 2014, Kangana Ranaut became the undisputed golden child of Bollywood with her performance in Vikas Bahl’s Queen. The firebrand actress had received love, praise, and admiration both from the masses and the critics as well for her role as Rani in the popular film.

Not only was Queen a commercial success but it also racked up six nominations at the 60th Filmfare Awards. The film eventually won ‘Best Hindi Film’ and ‘Best Actress’ at the 62nd National Film Awards.
Having completed 8 years of the film's release, Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to upload a wild throwback photo where she can be seen alongside several popular names performing a step from the viral song ‘London Thumakda’ from Queen.
    © Kangana Ranaut
Featured in the photo were Indian cricketers Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Stuart Binny, having a gala time all decked up in conical party hats as well, holding the trademark pose from the song.

While the athletes can be seen wearing their IPL jerseys, Kangana Ranaut, on the other hand, is dressed up identically to her character from Queen. This quirky image was from an ad film made by filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for the Indian Premier League (IPL) Season 9 in 2016.
Kangana shared the following caption with the photo, "On this day (7th March) in 2014 a film came called #Queen... and it changed my life forever..." She added, "I did many iconic roles after that...Datto, Manikarnika, Thalaivii but little did I know, no matter what I do I will forever be remembered as #Queen...". She also chose to add London Thumakda as the background music for this post on her Instagram stories.
In hindsight, Queen can rightly be considered a groundbreaking contemporary classic, which subverted expectations of the masses by delivering a wholesome comedy-drama without the added frills that Bollywood films are usually burdened with.
Alongside Ranaut, Rajkummar Rao and Lisa Haydon were other notable names to have starred in the film.

A lot has already been said on how it is a man's duty to respect women and support them in every cause, why a society that doesn't respect is regressive in its thinking and why India is becoming unsafe with each passing day for its women. We know a lot of young men are all for women's rights, but chauvinism is much deeper rooted in the Indian society. While most men of this generation claim to be free of any sexist prejudices against women, there are a few things they still unknowingly do that contradict their support for women. This International Women's Day, we at MensXP bring to you a set of resolutions that every Indian man must make to make India a much better place for women.
    Stop Staring
    © BCCL
Okay, so the girl you see strutting across the road is beautiful and you cannot help but notice her. There is nothing wrong with appreciating beauty, but there is a very fine line that differentiates it from leching. While you're visibly discussing her with your group of guy friends even with no immoral intentions, she is feeling unsafe being stared at. Molestation is not just physical. Don't let your eyes make her feel uncomfortable.
    Stop Blaming Her
    © BCCL
Nobody is responsible for your behaviour. Nobody but you. No woman ever asks for it. Even if she strips down naked, she is not asking for it. Let us stop blaming women. Short skirts and vodka are not the reasons for rape. Rapists are. Every time you blame a victim, you're justifying rape and molestation. And that is totally the opposite of what we are trying to achieve, right?
    Stop Gender-Stereotyping
    © BCCL
The root cause of disrespect towards women begins at home. Most men take women to be the homemakers. It is not a woman's duty to do the dishes and cook food for her man. Do not associate roles with the female gender and feed the people around you with more gender-stereotyping than there already is. A woman can party all night, get drunk, sleep with men she fancies and still be the sacred being that the Indian society expects them to be.
    Stand Up
    © BCCL
From this moment on, do not let this fight for women be restricted to the women in your life. Women are mistreated every day - in your office, on the streets, in the market, in your own house. Speak up. Stand up for her every time you see a crime against women, regardless of who she is. Be man enough to stop what is wrong.
    Stop The Abuse
    © BCCL
Abuse of all kinds - verbal, mental and physical. You may not be physically violent with the women around you, but you might just be abusing them in a million other ways. Be careful about how you treat women. Something as trivial as hurling abuses at your friends can be demeaning to women. Of course, you're doing it all in good, harmless humour, but it is disrespectful to women, nonetheless.
    Don't Look Down Upon Them
    © BCCL
Let the battle between the sexes be fought only in good spirits. Women are not inferior to men. A ***** doesn't make you any mightier than them. There is much more to a woman than her outer beauty. Do not objectify them. The day you begin to give them due respect as equals, half the battle against gender-bias will be won. Food for thought!
    Don't Judge
    © BCCL
Every individual has his/her own story. Just like wearing pink doesn't make a man gay, wearing a short skirt doesn't make a girl a slut. Even today, most men look down upon a girl who is in touch with her sexual side, while it is always an asset to be a sexually active man. Let's get rid of the hypocrisy please. It is high time that you accept that your wife/girlfriend/sister/mother can, just like men, be sexually aware and active. Come to terms with the fact that women need it and want it as much as you do, and it doesn't make them any less of a being.
    Respect Her In Bed
    © BCCL
Women aren't born to please men, in bed and otherwise. Her sexual needs are as important as yours, even though she may never pronounce them audibly. Porn may suggest otherwise, but it is not at all manly to look at women as your pleasure machines.
    Support Her
    © BCCL
We know you care about the women in your life, which is why you advise her not to be herself. But to think of it, doesn't this mentality strengthen the evil even more? Every woman has crazy expectations from life. Help her sail through. Give her the life she's always wanted to live.
    Inspire A Change
    © BCCL
The idea of a woman's position being behind the man is so deeply imbibed in the Indian culture, that most men take it for granted that their significant others would follow them wherever they go. Would you be willing to shift base to a strange city just because it opens new doors of opportunities for your working wife? Women have been doing it since ages. Be the man who changes the course of things in the country. Inspire a change today.
Here's hoping, the year ahead is much happier for women. To all our women readers, we salute you, for a world without women is like men without balls - impotent.

Pawan Kalyan’s latest release Bheemla Nayak co-starring Rana Daggubati is an official Telugu remake of 2020 Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
Just like most of Pawan Kalyan’s films, Bheemla Nayak took a record opening at the box office and unlike his releases in the recent past, it also sustained well over the next few days.
Its opening day was even higher than Allu Arjun's latest blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise in Telugu states.
    © Sithara Entertainment
According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Bheemla Nayak is now heading towards the Rs 200 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The film has so far earned Rs 183.22 crore globally.

Despite inching closer to Rs 200 crore mark, the Pawan Kalyan starrer is expected to end with losses in the range of Rs 12 - 15 crore, according to Mirchi 9.
The loss it has suffered is in the Telugu states, mainly in Andhra Pradesh and the reason has nothing to do with the merits of the film but due to the ongoing Andhra Pradesh government ticket rates issue.
In week one of its release, Bheemla Nayak collected Rs 170.74 crore. At its second weekend, the Pawan Kalyan starrer made an additional Rs 12.48 crore.
Sharing its box office worldwide numbers, Vijayabalan wrote, “#BheemlaNayak WW Box Office Week 1 - ₹ 170.74 cr
    Week 2 Day 1 - ₹ 3.38 cr Day 2 - ₹ 4.23 cr Day 3 - ₹ 4.87 cr Total - ₹ 183.22 cr”.

Earlier, Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise too had lost money in Telugu states despite taking the country by storm with its Hindi dubbed version.
Reportedly, the makers had to refund Rs 8 crore to regions like UA, East and Guntur.
Directed by Saagar K Chandra, Bheemla Nayak also stars Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon and Murali Sharma.

There were also reports that the Hindi version will be releasing soon and a trailer was also released but no release date has been announced yet.

The sporting fraternity around the world is still coming to grips with the sudden demise of legendary Australian off-spinner Shane Warne who died of a cardiac arrest in a hotel in Thailand.
Amidst the tributes flowing in from all over the world, remarks of the legendary Indian batter Sunil Gavaskar on a private news channel have angered the cricket fans. The ‘Little Master’ has been heavily slammed for his ‘classless’ comments that were devoid of empathy.
    © Reuters
After getting bashed for his comments, the former India opener has now issued a clarification through an Instagram video and accepted that it was not the time to delve into any sort of comparison and he shouldn’t have answered the question asked by the news anchor.

Even while expressing his regret for his ill-timed comments, the batting legend tried to put the blame on the news anchor saying that such a question shouldn’t have been asked in the first place.
    View this post on Instagram
“Last week was a very traumatic time for cricket fraternity as in 24 hours, we lost two icons of the game - Rodney Marsh and Shane Warne. On TV, I was asked by an anchor whether Warne was the greatest spinner and I gave my honest opinion,” Gavaskar said in an Instagram video.
“In hindsight, that question should not have been asked nor should it have been answered as it was not the right time for any comparison or evaluation,” he said.
    © Reuters
“Warne was one of the greatest cricketers to have ever graced the game. Rodney Marsh too was one of the greatest wicketkeepers the game has seen. May their souls rest in eternal peace,” he concluded.

Comments that led to huge outrage “Look at Shane Warne’s record against India. It was pretty ordinary. In India, he got five wickets only once in Nagpur, and that too because Zaheer Khan swung wildly against him to give him a fifer. Because he did not have much success against Indian players who were very good players of spin, I don’t think I would call him the greatest. Muttiah Muralitharan, with a greater success he had against India, I would rank him over Warne in my book,” Gavaskar had said during an interaction on India Today.
    © MensXP
Gavaskar owned up to his mistakes publicly and acknowledged that he was wrong in comparing the stats of the late leg-spinner with another spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan. At the same time, he insisted that although the timing was not right it was his “honest opinion”.

Once again his apology evoked mixed reactions on social media, with some fans praising the former India captain while finding faults in his ‘half-hearted’ remorse.
