Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage has blasted Disney for greenlighting Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs live-action remake.
It was recently announced by the studio that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be remade with West Side Story fame Rachel Zegler as the lead character of Snow White while Gal Gadot will portray the Evil Queen.

Reacting to the news of the live-action remake, Peter said on Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast that while some fans have applauded Disney for racial diversity, they miss the larger picture of how the original film portrayed disability.

Without mincing words, he said, “I was a little taken aback when they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White. You’re still telling the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me.”
Further blasting the studio for its decision, he added, “You’re progressive in one way and you’re still making that f*cking backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f*ck are you doing man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.”

He also stated that he doesn’t want the film to not be made but would love to see the problematic aspect of it addressed, “If you tell the story of Snow White with the most f*cked up, progressive spin on it? Let’s do it. All in.”

Peter Dinklage, a vertically challenged actor, shot to fame with his role as the fan-favourite Tyrion Lannister that made him a pop culture icon. He is currently amongst the hot favourites for a shot at Oscars for his performance in the musical Cyrano. He was also recently nominated for Golden Globes.

As for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, it was Disney’s first full-length feature film released in 1937. Besides, Snow White remake, in recent times Disney has also made live-action versions of Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Dumbo & The Lion King, among others.

After seeing Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home, one thing that a majority of fans got to know was, that Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man was actually pretty amazing.

I mean, his innocence, his playfulness, and his overall charm in the film showed exactly why he was perfect as Spider-Man and Peter Parker.
Another important thing that we got to find out from the movie about Andrew was that he was actually destined to play Spider-Man.
    Why?
Because he was such a great secret keeper!
I mean, the man literally lied for two straight years. In interviews, while bumping into fans, to friends, and fellow actors.
Well, we're seriously not complaining as it completely worked. We all loved the surprise that was waiting for us in the film, and his return along with that of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man proved exactly why we had been so excited for the film.

However, did you know that apart from the MCU crew and cast who worked on No Way Home, there were three people to who Andrew actually revealed his secret return?

Yep! The star might have lied to all of us but he couldn't hide it from some who he obviously considered being the closest to him.
“I lied to people for a good two years, and I lied to the internet for two years and it felt great,” said Andrew while speaking to Ellen DeGeneres.
He then went on to reveal who knew about his secret return in No Way Home.
“My dad, my brother, and my mother -- at the time -- just kind of us," he said.
However, defending his secret-keeping skills, Andrew spoke about how it all ended up working so well for the fans.
“It felt like I was part of organizing a surprise birthday party for a group of people who I knew would appreciate it,” said Andrew.
And if it makes you feel any better, the Tik, Tik ...Boom! didn't just hide it from the fans, but also from his ex-girlfriend and The Amazing Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone as well.

“Emma kept on texting me and she was like, 'Are you in this new Spider-Man film? And I was like, 'I don't know what you're talking about'."

"She was like, 'Shut up, just tell me.' I was like, 'I honestly don't even know what you're...' I kept it cone [of silence] even with her, it was hilarious," said Andrew, while speaking on the Happy, Sad Confused podcast.
We really cannot take away Andrew's credentials as an actor and as a protector of secrets.
Now, with Tobey Maguire already rumored to return in Dr. Strange 2, it is reported Andrew may return in Tom Hardy's Venom film, or in a movie that may be his own film or the Avengers 5.
    We're super excited!

Ravi Shastri's mighty successful tenure as the head coach of the Indian cricket team came to an end last year and since then he has been enjoying his time away from the field.
During his stint, India achieved some great results and became one of the toughest teams to beat, irrespective of the conditions, especially the longest format. Led by Virat Kohli, the side was so consistent that it finished on top of the ICC Test ranking for five consecutive years stretching from 2017 to 2021.

Looking back, the achievements of Team India outweigh the setbacks by a fair margin. But still the biggest complaint one can have with Shastri and his commander-in-chief Kohli was that they couldn’t guide India to an ICC silverware.

Their last tournament as a team was the biggest disaster of them all. For the first time in the history of the tournament, the Men In Blue were knocked out of the event in the group stage itself.

However, Shastri doesn’t give too much impetus to how the team fared in the ICC competitions. He is proud that under him, Team India was able to achieve what no other team could, like winning back-to-back Test series in Australia.

The achievements are all great but people still keep reminding him of his failure to deliver an ICC title and the same happened when he interacted with the reporters in Muscat, Oman.
#WATCH | ...One thing is clear I do not wash dirty linen in public. I do not want to discuss any of my players in public...: Ravi Shastri, Former Head Coach of Indian Cricket Team pic.twitter.com/l8D1d2426z
    — ANI (@ANI) January 25, 2022
The former India all-rounder is currently in the Gulf nation for the Legends Cricket and while interacting with the reporters he took a cheeky dig at BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, with whom his differences have been well documented.
#WATCH | ...It took Tendulkar 6 World Cups before winning one...Many prominent players like Ganguly, Dravid, Laxman haven't won World Cup, doesn't mean they are bad players...We've only 2 world cup winning captains: Ravi Shastri, Ex-Head Coach, Indian Cricket Team in Muscat, Oman pic.twitter.com/sk785cuycA
    — ANI (@ANI) January 25, 2022
“Tell me one team which team has performed so consistently in the last few years,” Shastri told news agency ANI.
When asked about the criticism that the team gets for not being able to win an ICC tournament during his tenure, the former all-rounder instead of highlighting what went wrong, went on the defensive and named several former and current Indian players who haven’t laid their hands on an ODI World Cup trophy.
    © Reuters
“Some of the most prominent names haven’t won a World Cup. Ganguly has never won a World Cup. Neither has Dravid nor Kumble. Laxman and Rohit Sharma haven’t won either but that doesn’t mean they are all bad players. How many World Cup winning captains do we have – only two. It took Sachin Tendulkar 6 World Cups before winning one."

“You are not judged by whether you’ve won a World Cup or not. You are judged, at the end of the day, by how you play the game. Are you an ambassador of the game. Do you play the game with integrity and do you play the game for a long period of time,” he explained.

After moving away from the Indian dressing room, Shastri has been making headlines through his comments about some of the hot topics doing rounds in Indian cricket. Be it his take on Kohli’s Test captaincy resignation or his different controversies surrounding Indian cricket, his remarks always grab eyeballs.

Recently, he gave an interview where he, without taking any names, accused the BCCI office bearers of getting jealous of Kohli’s superior record as a Test captain. Many fans believed that his remarks were aimed at the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly.
Ravi Shastri on Virat Kohli's Test Captaincy,Spitting fact as always pic.twitter.com/wrHzpryv6F
    — Harshit Pachouri (@Believer__18) January 23, 2022
“Whether Virat could have continued to lead India in Tests. For sure, he could have led India for at least 2 years because next two years India would be playing at home and who is coming over - 9 and 10 jacks, going by the rankings,” Shastri told Sports Tak during an interview.

"But he would have then made it to 50 wins under his captaincy and a lot of people will not be able to digest that fact. Digesting 40 wins was difficult for many people, just imagine what would’ve happened had he crossed 50 wins,” he added.

The animosity between Shastri and Ganguly began when the latter chose Anil Kumble over him to become India’s head coach. Since then, they both haven’t seen eye to eye and their differences are out there for everyone to see.
