India vs Pakistan is one of the most intense rivalries in world cricket. Whenever these two arch-rivals go up against each other, everything comes to a standstill.
Everything takes a backseat when these two sides are playing against each other. The fact that fans are not concerned about whether their team would win the tournament or not, they just want them to win this match at all costs, shows the importance of the match.

When there is so much at stake, no one wants to lose and players are under immense pressure to perform and looking at past records, it’s safe to say that the Men In Blue have handled this pressure much better than their counterparts, who are yet to beat India in an ICC World Cup.

After every loss, Pakistani players go home with their heads down after being outplayed by their Indian team. However, before every big tournament they make big claims about avenging their last defeat but haven’t succeeded so far.
The two sides are scheduled to face off on October 24 in this year’s T20 World Cup and as usual Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali said they would try their best to beat India for the first time in World Cup history.

Pakistan’s only major win over India came in the final of 2017 Champions Trophy and Ali said they would derive confidence from that win and try to bring smiles on the faces of their people.

“When we won the Champions Trophy (in 2017), it was a very good time for us and we will try to beat them again in the T20 World Cup. We will give our best. Playing against India is always a pressure game because of the expectations of fans from both countries,” Hasan told a virtual media conference on Wednesday, as reported by news agency PTI.

After losing the Champions Trophy  final, India completely outclassed Pakistan in the 2019 ODI World Cup, riding on Rohit Sharma’s brilliant century. Of all the Pakistani bowlers, Rohit took special liking to Hasan Ali and smashed him to all corners of the park. He did manage to pick up a wicket but gave away 84 runs off his nine overs.

Like this time, Hasan had made a bold claim back in 2019 as well and had said that he wanted to take all 10 wickets against India. Indian fans reminded Hasan how things turned out two years back in England and urged to wake up from his dream world and come back to reality and get ready for a similar treatment this time around as well.

He also said he will take 10 wickets against India, they were beaten by India in the group stage match i think he forgot that
    — Himanshu (@himanshu_jain12) September 15, 2021Hasan Ali said he would take 11 wickets in the Asia cup, and the rest is history, and he is almost finished with his international career.
    — Avi (@anvi2021) September 15, 2021Iska Matlab pakka India ye match jeetega or iski khud kutayi hogi match me kyuki jab bhi ye overconfident home baat karta hai India Jeet ti hai or iski dhulayi hoti hai match me thank you hasan for your words
    — Najim Ali (@NajimAl49840689) September 16, 2021Pakistani players in 2070 we will try our best to beat India like we did in 2017
    — Sankalp #LM10 (@SankalpRaikar77) September 15, 2021India will try to beat Pakistan like they beat them in each and every world cup
    — Saurabh pokhriyal (@SaurabhPokhri11) September 15, 2021Rohit Sharma is waiting to finish your career...wait Hasan

    — Altaf kohli (@Altafkohli9182) September 15, 2021Perhaps one of the biggest reasons why Pakistan have struggled against India in the major ICC tournaments is because they treat this contest more important than the whole tournament and succumb under the hopes of expectations. India, on the other hand, enter the tournament hoping to lay their hands on the trophy and treat the Pakistan game as any other match that they have to win to get to their ultimate goal.

People expect celebrity weddings to be grand and big. One of the best celebrity weddings that is etched in our memories is Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's wedding ceremony.
The duo got married after falling in love with each other on the sets of Tashan in 2012. Only close family and friends were invited at the wedding.
Not only this, Kareena's bridal attire became an iconic look as she wore a reworked version of her mother-in-law veteran actress Sharmila Tagore's bridal dress.
Though their wedding wasn’t a grand affair, many renowned celebrities were spotted at the wedding.

Recently, Saif Ali Khan was on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show for the promotion of his film Bhoot Police. The actor was accompanied by his co-stars Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez.
The host Kapil Sharma asked Yami Gautam about her recent small wedding with only 20 guests.
Saif shared that he and his wife also wanted a close knit ceremony but the Kapoor family has over 200 members so that couldn’t happen and it ended up becoming a grand affair.

Saif said, “Jab humne shaadi ki thi tab humne bhi decide kiya tha ki close family karenge lekin Kapoor family jo hai wo kum se kum 200 hai."
Saif further said, “Mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai expensive shaadi se. Mere chaar bache hain, mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai." [Loose translation: Expensive weddings scare me. I have four kids. I'm really scared.]”

A movie that has been termed as a ‘cult classic’ by many over these few decades since it was released, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was indeed a classic, but to be fair - a classic example of just how problematic Bollywood has been since the beginning of time.

    via GIPHY
Yet another one from Dharma Productions, this film was built on the premise that “pyaar dosti hai”, whereas in reality, what it promoted was make-up, stereotypes and a whole lot of sexism.
    © Dharma Productions
The movie starts with Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) standing at the burning pyre of his now dead wife Tina (Rani Mukherjee) and reminiscing their time together. It turns out, Tina had a complicated delivery while giving birth to her daughter and didn’t have much time left.

    © Dharma Productions
Which is why she decided to leave behind eight letters for her daughter, one for each of her birthday till she turns 8 years old, so that she could learn everything about her mother. Why Tina thought her daughter could read from the age of 1, is beyond us much like the plot of the film.

    © Dharma Productions
Fast forward, Rahul and Tina’s daughter Anjali is now almost 8 years old and is just as annoying as her father who forgets to pick her up from a bridge and makes her daughter wait for 2 long hours. Alone. Some parenting.

    © Dharma Productions
Her eighth birthday finally comes along and she gets to read her mother’s final letter. The deceased mother sets her 8 year old daughter up to be a love-guru where she tells her about the other Anjali in her father’s life (Kajol) and how apparently the two loved each other but never knew for themselves. Of course, Tina realised everything and kept quiet till the time she was alive because jab tak apna kaam banta, bhaad main jaaye janta.

    © Dharma Productions
The blast from the past shows Rahul to be exactly what he is - a sore loser, and a cheater. Anjali and him are best friends and everything is fun and games till Tina walks in.

    © Dharma Productions
Anjali is depicted as the no make-up tomboyish kind who enjoys wearing athleisure, but obviously the society and the market hadn’t formed a taste for it back then. While Tina is displayed as the typical man’s fantasy - modern yet sanskaari, dressed in a mini skirt and some make-up.

    © Dharma Productions
Meanwhile the college that the three attend, could be termed ground zero for promoting gender stereotypes and promoting victim-blaming for the very principal of the college goes around reprimanding a girl for ‘wearing short skirts and exciting boys’. Wow.

    © Dharma Productions
Rahul obviously falls for Tina over Anjali because girls with make-up>>>>>>>>

    © Dharma Productions
Anjali, on the other hand, starts getting a little jealous of the two coming closer to each other, and ultimately changes her college, moves to a different town and loses all touch with Rahul because out of sight, out of mind worked like a charm even back then.

    © Dharma Productions
Cut to the present when the conniving little Anjali reads her mom’s letter and decides to meet her namesake at a camp where Anjali was going to be the facilitator.

    © Dharma Productions
While there at the camp, Anjali tricks her father into coming and seeing her, only to make him meet his old best friend - Anjali - for the first time in years. Except this time she’s ditched her dungarees and is wearing a saree and make-up, attracting Rahul spot on.

    © Dharma Productions
The little Anjali ends up recreating a lot of moments from their college days in a bid to make them fall in love with each other. And the plan seems to be working just fine up until the point where Anjali’s fiance Aman (Salman Khan) shows up. Not like that created a whole lot of difference, but yeah, whatever.

    © Dharma Productions
Anjali leaves camp to go get married to Aman, while it finally dawns upon Rahul that he, in fact, did love Anjali. This, after his 8 year old daughter tells him all about her mother’s letters.

    © Dharma Productions
Rahul bumps into Anjali once again and professes his love for her - ON HER WEDDING DAY. Because he can’t bear to lose yet again and doesn’t mind winning at the expense of poor Aman.

    © Dharma Productions
The two confused love birds are interrupted by Aman who sacrifices his own love and marriage and the expenses he probably incurred, to get Anjali and Rahul married instead.

    © Dharma Productions
And mind you, this is the same guy who said “hum ek baar jeete Hain, ek baar marte Hain, Shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hai aur pyaar bhi,” way to go, hypocrisy!

    © Dharma Productions
Meanwhile, little Anjali is just short of an evil laughter playing in the background, for successfully puppeteering two people together.

    The end.

It is the Indian Premier League season once again, which means that Indian cricket fans will once again decide to turn against each other, divided themselves based on the franchises they support, and most importantly, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli trolls will be at maximum capacity.
One of these trolls decided to make the fans relive the moment when the Chennai Super Kings skipper decided to change his bat in a match against Rajasthan Royals with just four deliveries for the match to end while needing to score an unassailable 34 runs off of them.
If you ever feel useless in your life , just think about that bat Thala Dhoni changed when 36 were required off 4 pic.twitter.com/4kOrsRTv8P

“If you ever feel useless in your life, just think about that bat Thala Dhoni changed when 36 were required off 4,” Twitter user @ReignOfVirat wrote in the caption while sharing the picture of Dhoni going through a selection of bats in the middle of the pitch.
While many liked and commented on his post, it did not take long for Dhoni fans to come to his rescue and start trolling Virat Kohli and his Royal Challengers Bangalore team’s losing record throughout the history of the IPL, especially when the discussion was around “feeling useless”.

    — Harshill (@HarshillD9) September 15, 2021If you ever feel useless in your life , just think about giving virat kohli captaincy after choking for fucking 8 years
    — S•™ | The rise of Jagadeesan (@DeepLongOn1) September 15, 2021 Even though it is a fact that both Kohli and Dhoni are big admirers of each other, the fact that the two cricketers have the most defensive fanbases in the world makes their rivalry a lot more exciting.
The cross-criticism has grown so intense over the years that there have been multiple commercial advertisements being formed around it as a means to promote the IPL league in itself.

The second half of IPL 2021 is set to begin from 19 September (Sunday) as two of the most successful franchises in the league Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings take on each other at the Dubai International Stadium.
MS Dhoni’s CSK and Virat Kohli’s RCB will clash on 24 September (Friday) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium for the fans to once again talk trash about each other.
Ahead of the second half of the tournament, the IPL 2021 points table is topped by Delhi Capitals, followed by CSK, RCB, and MI at the second, third and fourth positions respectively.

If there's something that the pandemic has taught us in terms of the entertainment industry, it is that no matter how much money or stars you throw into making the grandest of films, it stands to gain nothing without movie-watchers. At a time when cinemas had been shut all over the world and people were locked up within four walls, we realized that the only way that show was to go on, was if it could be shown on a computer or tv screen.
And up went the stake of OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon's Prime Video. Bollywood really has been brought down on its knees with movies clearly not working without people going ahead and paying for it. On the other hand, many content-driven movies and shows like The Family Man, Mirzapur, and now Mumbai Diaries 26/11 have shown the power of OTT.
    © Prime Video
One personality that seems to echo the same words is the 'Family Man' himself, Manoj Bajpayee.

    © Prime Video
The talented actor has been winning plaudits for his performance in the Prime Video series and has really seen his popularity rise to insane levels. He too thinks that the OTT platforms have sort of been the savior of the entertainment industry. “This has happened worldwide. There was only one medium of entertainment in a situation like a lockdown when people couldn’t even step out and do anything, forget about watching a film in theatres. OTT has been the only savior for the entertainment industry amid pandemic,” said Bajpayee.

He also mentions how the platform helps people keep away from the negativity and stress of the current turbulent times. “The various shows and films kept them away from all the anxiety and stress. It is the only medium that has kept people entertained. It is a big ocean from where people can choose what they want to watch,” he said.
Another thing that platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Hotstar, Zee5, and others have provided is an opportunity to work in content-oriented films for actors who, for long, haven't been given opportunities in mainstream cinema.
    © Prime Video
"All those people who can do some worthwhile job have got the chance to showcase their ability. It is a one-of-a-kind situation. I pray that this time of celebrating talent and quality does not go away. In our country, we often see that talented people were getting almost no due. The OTT has become a miracle for many,” added Bajpayee.

The 52-year-old actor was asked whether he feels that the OTT platforms have reintroduced him to the audience. However, he is of the opinion that instead of that, the platforms have made it possible for him to connect with a vast younger audience.
“I am not being reintroduced to the admirers who were already there. I was not just sitting at home and doing nothing. I was someone who was quite busy when the OTT boom came. The unique thing that has happened to me and my career is that it has taken me to a different kind of a fan base which is teen and young people. The audience of that age was not that aware of my work. Those are the people who are loving and liking my work in the past two years. It has kind of excited them to look at all my other past works. That I find is amazing,” he said.

Apple hosted its annual event earlier this week where the company announced the iPhone 13 Series, Apple Watch Series 7 and new iPads. However, one product that seemed to be left out was the 3rd Generation of AirPods.
    © EverythingApplePro
While Apple surprised everyone with the new iPad mini and 9th Generation iPad, fans were expecting the company to announce the AirPods 3. The good news is that you won’t have to wait too long for the next generation of AirPods to launch. According to a new rumour by DigiTimes, the third generation of AirPods have already entered production.

“While third-generation AirPods were not announced at the Apple Event this week, suppliers have already kicked off shipments of the long-awaited headphones,” DigiTimes said in its report. The report went on to add that the shipments have been “slow” but production is still underway. The fact that the next AirPods have already gone into production is a good indication of the fact that we may see it launch before the end of 2021.
It’s highly possible that Apple may announce the new AirPods alongside the MacBook Pro models at an event later this year. It is also possible that Apple might launch the new AirPods via a simple press release as the company has done that before multiple times. In fact, the 2nd generation AirPods were announced via a press release and not at an event hosted by the Cupertino giant. Most recently, Apple announced the AirPods Max via a press release as well.
    © EverythingApplePro
DigiTimes did not indicate when the new AirPods will be announced but the outlet is confident about its claims regarding the production of the true wireless earbuds. It could be possible that Apple is waiting either for the right moment to announce the new AirPods or untill the iPhone 13 series is officially released in a majority of regions.

The AirPods 3 are expected to borrow design cues from the AirPods Pro, albeit without a silicon tip. The earbuds are also expected to have a shorter stem and similar gesture features as the AirPods Pro. The new earbuds may also offer new features such as Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos along with familiar features from the AirPods lineup.

It’s been almost a week since the fifth Test between India and England was cancelled due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the visitors’ camp but the speculations as to why the match was called off at the eleventh hour is still going on.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has clarified that the decision was made because Indian players were scared for their safety and their loved ones and were reluctant to step on the field.
    © Reuters
The BCCI, the most affluent cricket board on the planet, has been on the receiving end of harsh criticism in the last week or so, especially from the English media and fans, for prioritising Indian Premier League (IPL) priority and disrespecting Test cricket.

Speaking to The Telegraph India, the BCCI president has, however, refused all such claims saying that they “would never be an irresponsible board” and that they value Test cricket. What Ganguly is saying might be true but the fact remains that the series wouldn’t have ended like this had there been enough gap between the final Test and the resumption of IPL 2021.
    © Reuters
To accommodate IPL, the BCCI even wanted the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to either start the series opener a week early or reduce the series to four matches so that they could get enough time between the final match and the start of the IPL. However, the ECB didn’t agree to either of the BCCI’s requests and the series came to a disappointing end.

Former India spinner Dilip Doshi has now revealed that the West Indian legend Micheal Holding, who has called time on his commentary career, told him that the BCCI was not in favour of the last Test since the beginning. It had proposed the series to end at The Oval with the fourth Test so that the IP-bound players could get a 15-day gap between the Test series and the second half of the IPL 2021 but the ECB clearly didn’t agree to their request.
    © DD Sports
“I was speaking to a dear friend of mine Michael Holding earlier today and he mentioned to me that the Indian Cricket board did not want the last Test. So, their original suggestion was that the tour should end after the Oval Test, leaving enough time between IPL and the last Test in England. Giving a gap of 15 days because of the quarantine period in between, but I believe ECB did not want that and they may have insisted on the fifth Test.” Doshi said on India Ahead News.

It’s hard to blame the ECB because the series schedule was announced way in advance and they finalised the dates for their brand new ‘The Hundred’ accordingly. The BCCI, on the other hand, would’ve suffered a huge loss, in excess of Rs 2000 crore, if the 14th edition of the cash-rich league didn’t see its culmination. The Indian board couldn’t afford such a massive loss and wanted to complete the tournament at any cost.
    © Twitter BCCI
But the biggest problem was finding a suitable window long enough to accommodate the second half of the IPL and they decided to stage it in the gap between the England series and the start of the 2021 T20 World Cup.

The time we are living in right now, nobody is sure how things will pan out and ideally there should have been a buffer time to deal with any eventuality arising out of COVID-19, just like India’s B-string team did in Sri Lanka where the matches were postponed on more than one occasion.
    © Reuters
The original scheduling would have allowed it but since the BCCI decided to take over the window for its domestic league, there was no room for an error. The BCCI might deny that they did nothing wrong and that their priority has always been Test cricket, their claims and actions do not match.
