    Our democratic rights and the power to exercise freedom of speech has ensured that everyone gets to express their views and use the power of the internet to echo them for others to agree or disagree. Bollywood has been time and again accused of hurting religious sentiments with the kind of content that filmmakers sometimes project.

    While a lot of things get lost in translation, some things just outright don’t go down well with a particular community. Saif Ali Khan’s poster from his upcoming movie Bhoot Police is under the radar after the poster has been accused of hurting Hindu sentiments.

    The thing that triggered this wave of displeasure is the showcase of ‘sadhus’ in the background of the poster. People are offended and it's a sacrilegious act.

    However, a lot of people are trying to infuse some logical explanation for this aesthetic imagery and explaining that since the movie is titled Bhoot Police, it is possible that ‘sadhus’ will be a part of the script.
    Firstly, why a work of fiction can't be just treated as a work of FICTION

    The movie is called Bhoot Police for fks sake

    They've added some images of Aghori Sadhus and Tantriks because they are supposed to have supernatural abilities

    Not to be the one who bites the hand that feeds her, considering Bollywood has been the one and only source of entertainment for me while growing up, teaching me most of what I know today - cheesy pick-up lines, the concept of toxic masculinity, how to romanticize stalker behaviour, the right way to do a thumka and life lessons like, ‘haar ke jeetne waale ko hi baazigar kehte hain’ among other things, I will go out on a limb to say that every once in a while it has overdone itself a little. And by little, I mean a lot. 
    Especially during action sequences, where to prove just how strong and hero-like the protagonist is, despite all odds, they have been made to survive some of the most ridiculous circumstances in a movie.
    Don’t believe us? Here is a list of some of the most unrealistic surviving deaths in Bollywood movies that will make you stop believing in either Bollywood or gravity:
    1. Karan and Arjun in 'Karan Arjun' © Film Kraft
    The oldest and possibly the first of its kind of unrealistic survived death in Bollywood, the film is a classic example of just how OTT Bollywood can be.

    Despite being murdered by their relatives, the two boys survive their own first death to be reincarnated 17 years later and return to their mother who was paid just for the dialogue ‘Mere Karan Arjun aayenge’. Because producer ne bola tha..
    2. Aryan In 'Dhoom 2' © Yash Raj Films
    This is the part where we’re at the climax of this action thriller and everyone is standing face to face at the edge of a waterfall. 

    After a million zoom in and zoom out shots of all the actors from Hrithik to Aiswarya to Abhishek and even Uday Chopra and some cryptic last words from Aryan aka Hrithik Roshan, Ash shoots him while he beautifully plummets down to his death in slow motion. Or so we would think.
    6 months later, the man is cooking international delicacies in a restaurant in Fiji with his lady love. How did he survive? Neither did we find out, nor could they have explained if they wanted to.

    The comedy fest that, unlike its genre, had one too many near-death scenes for its characters, also makes it to the list for one of the most unrealistically survived deaths. 

    We are talking about Lucky here, the cuckoo son of gangster RDX who gets shot by a reflex bullet in his neck, only to momentarily die and come back to life only at his own funeral pyre. 
    How did that happen, you ask? Mirikal! Mirikal!
    4. Major Ram in 'Main Hoon Na' © Red Chillies Entertainment
    Yes, he was a Major in the Indian Army and all that, and while we give it to him to save Laxman from falling off a building, or even almost dying in a hostage situation, what we absolutely cannot digest is him surviving that car chase on a goddamn rickshaw. 

    Not only the guy is shown doing wheelies in the three-wheeler, but he is flying it like a ninja carrier, racing it down a forest slope (without puncturing a tyre or turning over) and then, riding it past an explosion in a tunnel. Who needs a batmobile or a bulletproof car to survive when you have a rickshaw right?

    Following Shah Rukh Khan’s lead, only this time in a horse-drawn carriage and not a three-wheeler, Salman Khan’s character Yuvraj Vijay Singh in the movie Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo is another name to be added to the list for its unbelievability.

    For instance, when Vijay’s carriage is tampered with and he, despite miraculously saving his horses, can’t save himself and falls into the valley. NO ONE could have survived that fall, but guess that is where Bollywood steps in...

    Possibly one of the most mind-f**ked twists to have been pulled by a character in a Bollywood film, the way Shah Rukh Khan’s character survived and then faked his own death in the movie while pretending to be Vijay all that while, was just beyond us.

    He not only first survives a fatally injuring car chase, but then also manages to kill his doppelganger, swap the bodies and fake his own death, while he was still recovering from his own injuries and was possibly down with anaesthesia. 
    Unlike the 11 mulkon ki police, the only thing we’re waiting for is an answer as to ‘how’!

    This was the scene where after playing a rather f**ked up game of pass the parcel with the psycho father-son duo, the house that was built on the edge of a cliff is dangling on a beam or two with everyone still inside. 

    As everyone manages to climb out, Rajiv aka Akshay Kumar owing to his saviour complex tiptoes back inside to save Lucky and as he does that, the house is shown to have collapsed. 
    Except, Akshay Kumar is casually shown dusting himself off, tapping everyone’s shoulder and simply coming back to life. Because are you even the hero if you don’t survive a few hundred feet fall?

    Okay, so technically Shah Rukh Khan’s character did not survive his death in the movie in the literal sense, but the fact that despite being hit and killed on the road he reincarnated into a version of himself was also just a big load of crap. 

    Not only does he have the same exact looks from before, but he remembers everything from the past and this time around, is loaded with money, influence and superstar status. If this is not unrealistic we don’t know what is!

    With the novel Coronavirus entering our lives, everything was put on halt and it impacted several businesses, including the entertainment industry. Many actors came forward and shared their ordeal of how the pandemic had financially crippled them.
    Actor Shagufta Ali, who was popular for her role in the TV show Saans in 1998 among other shows, has now revealed that she has been facing a dearth of work for the last fours years but the pandemic has worsened her situation. She is said to have exhausted all her savings and was forced to seek help. All this while, she was managing her livelihood by selling all her assets.

    In a conversation with a leading daily, she said, “I started facing issues in the last 4 years as work reduced. There was less work, so somehow I tried to manage things on my own by selling off my car and jewellery. I somehow managed to handle things in the first 2/3 years but now in the last 1 year things have been very difficult as I have exhausted all my savings. Honestly, initially, I didn’t want to ask for help so I thought whatever I have let me sell that and once I get work, things will get back to normal. But things got from bad to worse because of the pandemic.”
    She added, “For everyone else, they are facing lockdown for the last one year but for me, it is going on for the last 4 years. Jitni buri haalat logon ko last ek saal mein hui hai utni buri meri 4 saal se hui hai (The bad situation that people are facing for the last one year, I have been facing for the past four years)."
    She even said that she sought help from CINTA but they weren’t giving her enough. She also tried reaching out to Sonu Sood but his team said they do not offer financial help per se.

    Shagufta also opened up on her battle with stage 3 breast cancer. "It was during my show Saans as I had it mid-way during that and I still managed to do all my shoots. I completed shooting during my other show Chattan’s shoot. I remember we would travel to Dubai to shoot the show. In fact, once I had to travel with a cushion on my chest as I was not supposed to travel in that condition. The doctor had clearly told me, you will do it at your own risk. Since the stitches were still there, I had to carry a cushion and hold it all the time. During that time I would shoot for 3-4 shows together and I used to shoot for films also and I would do all of them. I have shot for them with my stitches on," she said.

    In addition to being an immaculate actor, Ranveer is also a sartorialist who has time and again reigned supreme in the fashion department with his flamboyant clothes, accessories and sneakers.

    Of course, they are too extra, but since it's Ranveer, nothing is over the top for him!

    There was a time when he replaced his messenger bag for speakers. Ranveer was seen using his JBL BoomBox as an accessory. The actor would carry the powerful portable speakers and curate an out of the ordinary look with this accessory. 
    Talk about bizarre trends!

    Ranveer's sartorial abilities have never failed to impress us. Very recently, he was decked in an all-Gucci outfit and stole everyone's thunder with his look, garnering many views and comments. 

    As unconventional as the look was, one thing that stood out was the sling bag. The Hobo Bag by Gucci became the talk of the internet, and Singh made it look like child's play as he broke the gender stereotype once again.

    Social media hate and ridicule rolled in after Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner sneakers were launched. But thanks to Ranveer, who knew how to make such an odd pair look cool, the tide turned in favour of the shoes. 

    In addition, the fact that these sneakers are made using algae harvesting technology that helps keep the environment clean is an added bonus. So, Ranveer isn't just about fashion but knows how to work with sustainability as well.

    Ranveer has always had his own personal definition of masculinity, and he never pays heed to those who believe in 'men should not wear this'. He would, in fact, stand out in the things people often say no to. 

    One such example is when he wore high heeled boots and graced the red carpet with his unconventional fashion game.

    These have edgy calligraphy and detailing, and we guess only Ranveer could pull these off.

    Speaking of pants again, Ranveer knocked it out of the park for one of his airport looks as well. While most of us would stick to the usual straight leg jeans, he made a statement wearing jeans with legit curtains.
