OnePlus could be launching its first tablet very soon as the company filed a trademark for a ‘OnePlus Pad’ with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office). The trademark was spotted by Mysmartprice which was later shared by renowned leaker Stufflistings on Twitter.
OnePlus has been steadily expanding its portfolio with Smart TVs, wearables and audio products for the past two years. It doesn’t come as a surprise that the smartphone company would be working on a tablet especially since its sister companies Realme and Vivo are also releasing tablets of their own. Realme has already announced its entry into the tablet market and Vivo filed a similar trademark as OnePlus with the EUIPO.

As with OnePlus products, the tablet is also expected to run on OxygenOS, however not much is known about whether the company plans to introduce any exclusive feature. The tablet could also run ColorOS since the company announced it's merging the two operating systems last week.

As per the trademark filed by OnePlus, the upcoming tablet could be advertised as the ‘OnePlus Pad’. It could be possible that the company may launch the tablet here in India as well since it's the most important market for the company right now. Not much is known about the upcoming tablet, however we expect it to feature premium specifications, much like the company's 2021 smartphones. Other details such as stylus support, camera configuration and the size of the tablet are currently unknown.
If OnePlus indeed launches the tablet in the coming months, it will be competing with the likes of Apple and Samsung since there aren’t many tablet manufacturers at the moment. The listing on the European regulatory websites suggests OnePlus’ tablet could launch in the coming months. More information about the OnePlus tablet could surface on the web soon, as the company is yet to make an official announcement.

If you would like to see OnePlus’ listing for yourself, have a look at the EUIPO document here.

OnePlus also announced that it will be merging OxygenOS and ColorOS in the near future. The company went on to say that the two operating systems will share the same codebase. If you want to know more about the latest partnership, you can read more about it here.

After a gap of five years, Karan Johar will be donning the director’s hat once again. He is all set to direct Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and has roped in Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The actors are pairing up for the second time as they were earlier seen in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy (2019).
View this post on InstagramAnnouncing his new project, Karan Johar shared a teaser video on social media. He captioned it, “Thrilled to get behind the lens with my favourite people in front of it! Presenting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, headlined by none other than Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy. This anokhi kahani is coming to your screens in 2022! #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani #RRKPK.”
View this post on InstagramRanveer also shared the teaser and wrote, “A special announcement on my special day! Presenting - Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani along with my dazzling supernova Alia Bhatt, directed by the genre himself, kaleidoscopic visionary Karan Johar, & written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy. Coming to charm you in 2022! #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani #RRKPK (sic)."
An overwhelmed Alia shared her excitement and wrote, “An exceptional love story with my favourite people! ️ Presenting – Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, directed by the one and only Karan Johar and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy. All set to hit the screens in 2022! #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani #RRKPK.”
It’s surely exciting for the fans but people have been raising issues about the film on social media and there are in particular three reasons why they are disappointed.
    1. Title Is A Big ConcernPeople are not really pleased with the title as it’s too old school and are complaining about the same.

    2. No Uniqueness In The PlotA source had exclusively told Bollywood Hungama, “Karan’s film is about family values and love, in that order. It’s called Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and features Ranveer and Alia as Rocky and Rani. Shabanaji and Dharamji will play Alia’s grandparents. Jayaji who has worked with Karan before in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho plays Ranveer Singh’s grandmother.”
Well, people think that there’s nothing unique in the plot as they have seen such love stories infused with family values in the past. They feel that the Bollywood directors have lost the essence of love stories and producing only trash. They have already declared it a disaster.

    3. Predictable CastPeople have raised issues with the fact that Karan always promotes nepotism and they had an idea that he will go for Ranveer and Alia.

There was a meme post doing the rounds on social media over the weekend, which read ‘We went from no hospital beds in May to no hotel rooms in Manali in two months’.
As funny as it sounds right now, it won’t be when the third wave actually hits us, which according to the experts is inevitable.
    © iStock
Manali has been the top trending travel destination right now and the reason is that the state government has relaxed lockdown curbs and allowed people to enter without an RT-PCR report.

The step was taken for the ease of travel, not tourism.
However, the streets of Manali are jam-packed with tourists right now who could actually be responsible for inviting the third wave in India sooner than expected.
    © Twitter
Not just Manali, some other tourist places in India are also likely to be crammed with people who tested positive for ‘wanderlust’ during the lockdown and have this ‘zindagi na milegi dobara’ attitude towards life.

    © iStock
Here are 5 tourist places in India that aren’t asking travellers for an RT-PCR, which you could totally steer clear of if you are not a Covidiot:

    1. Ooty © iStock
No negative covid report is required in Tamil Nadu. But if you are flying to Coimbatore and then taking a cab to Ooty, your flight might require one.

Tamil Nady was among the worst-hit states during the second wave and new cases of delta plus variant have also been detected lately. Just saying.
    2. Coorg © iStock
Karnataka opened the state borders for travellers post unlock for people from all states.

However, if you are travelling via train from Maharashtra, Punjab and Kerala, hard luck. Train travellers from these states need to carry a negative RT-PCR report.
    3. Delhi © iStock
For all those who have been missing Dilli ki chaat and have pending wedding shopping to do from Chandni Chowk, you can go without getting tested for Covid.

    4. Shimla © iStock
Manali is just one of the numerous holiday destinations in Himachal Pradesh.

The day it unlocked borders, there was a traffic jam on the Kalka-Shimla highway. So, if you are planning a vacation, rest assured you would not have empty streets to yourself for sure.
    5. Chandigarh  © iStock
If you have gotten one dose of vaccination, which we hope you have by now, you can travel to Chandigarh and the entire Punjab with your vaccination certificate. No RT-PCR required.

However, we recommend you get tested after your travel and follow safety precautions, still.
Or better yet, stay home, get fully vaccinated and let this pandemic end?

A few things that superhero movies have taught me while growing up have been to remember that first, the Earth is always ready to be taken hostage by the bad guys. Second, good guys are always going to be around to save that from happening. And lastly, the best ones will win your hearts until one fine day they decide to leave the franchise with a human-shaped hole in your heart.
As is something we’ve experienced one too many times, enduring the death of some of our favourite characters over time. And while the list may be long, the one we’re pointing at today is none other than the OG X-men - Wolverine aka Hugh Jackman.
    © Marvel Entertainment
Having played the iconic role of Wolverine for 17 long years, Hugh Jackman retired from the role back in 2017, saying it was time for him to move on.

But now that the X-men franchise is ready to be rebooted for the MCU, things might be up for a little change.
We say this after coming across a rather cryptic post from the actor’s Instagram account, where he posted two stories back to back, leaving us fans as confused as it is hopeful.
#HughJackman's recent Instagram story indicates that he may be in talks to return as #Wolverine in the #MCU.https://t.co/v8nCK1VlSU pic.twitter.com/v621KVJ41f
    — Screen Rant (@screenrant) July 6, 2021
The first was a piece of fanart of his wolverine claw from Bosslogic that he reposted on his Insta story, followed by a photo of himself with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, which made us all wonder if the actor was planning to make a comeback, even if for a cameo role which now with the introduction of the multiverse in the Marvel universe, is all the more possible.

    © Hugh Jackman
Jackman played the iconic role of Wolverine since the 2000s, giving us 8 successful and hit movies to devour in our youth including X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse and Logan - the final nail in the character’s coffin.

As fans get busy coming up with theories so as to explain the connection between the two stories and Hugh Jackman posing with Feige, this is how Twitter is dealing with this brand new information :

Sharad Kelkar has worked hard to make his presence felt and people have lauded his strong performances as an actor. He has been in the industry for a long time now and has battled the odds to make it big. His 15-minute performance as a transgender in Laxmii made people take notice of him, as his acting prowess was on full display. Just recently, Kelkar was seen in The Family Man Season 2 as Arvind, and people were impressed with his acting again.

All we see is the actor who has made it big but we ignore how much he has struggled. He might utter the best dialogues on the screen now but did you know he had to overcome speech issues? Sharad recently opened up about his stammering issue as a child. Stammering is a speech problem wherein an individual repeats or prolongs words, and thanks to less awareness about it, people who suffer from stammering become the subject of harassment.
In a recent interview with The New Indian Express, he opened up on his stammering issue. He said, “You know, I used to suffer from stammering. I was mercilessly bullied as a child for it. But look at me now; I'm in a profession that requires me to use my speech skills."
    View this post on Instagram
It’s not the first time that the actor has addressed it and tried to normalize it. In an earlier interview with Times Now, he had said, “There were a lot of rejections. I used to stammer, so acting was a faraway thing for me. But that made me strong, that gave me the strength to correct the things that were wrong. Stammering was a problem so I got rid of that. It took me two years to get rid of stammering. Rejections are good, I believe. They give you the strength to work harder towards your goals.”

Sharad’s battle with stammering and finally overcoming it is an example for those who have lost hope and stopped trying.
Sharad has carved his own space in the industry and not many know that he was a gym instructor before he got his big break in the industry. Well, he is an inspiration and we need to celebrate his journey.

The Sri Lankan Cricket Board has found itself amid a barrage of controversies all of a sudden, where everything wrong that could have possibly happened to a cricketing body, has happened to them.
From an official member of the board getting banned for trying to pay a bribe to a minister, to the top-tier players of the country getting caught breaking COVID-19 protocol like a bunch of teenagers, the SLC is having a tough time at the moment.
Sanath Jayasundara has been banned by the ICC for attempting to bribe a minister to influence selections for a Sri Lanka A tour in 2019
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) July 5, 2021
On Monday, the organisation faced back-to-back blows after SLC performance analyst Sanath Jayasundara was banned for seven years after being caught trying to bribe the sports minister Harin Fernando, in order to influence an international match a certain way back in 2018.

"Jayasundara's attempt to bribe a minister is a grave transgression while the efforts to cover up his tracks and the lack of remorse are hugely disappointing," ICC anti-corruption chief Alex Marshall said in a statement. "We won't tolerate corrupt conduct in our sport and my team will be relentless in preventing such behaviour," he warned.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa has been fined for a breach of contract and is essentially on probation for two years, having been handed a one-year ban as a suspended sentence

Despite the punishment, the batter has been included in the training squad ahead of the India series
    — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) July 5, 2021
The second blow came in the form of Sri Lankan Twenty20 player Bhanuka Rajapaksa getting himself in some serious trouble and was fined $5,000 along with a ban for criticising the SLC in interviews with local media.
According to the board, the 29-year-old breached his contract by going to social media interviews, complaining about how he has been continuously dropped from the squad for unjustified reasons.
"Bhanuka failed the skinfold test and went home without doing the rest of the tests. This just shows me the attitude and the shortcuts he is looking to take," head coach Mickey Arthur said, according to ESPNcricinfo.
"We are building a culture of pushing the players to be the best they can be. We want our best players on the field. He would be in our T20 squad. However, at the moment, his skinfold numbers have gone up and he has got to work on it."

All these issues are coming back to haunt the Lankans a week after three of their best players Kusal Mendis, Niroshan Dickwella, and Danushka Gunathilaka were caught breaking the bio-bubble to protect their teammates and the opponents back in England.
Upon confessing to breaking the COVID-19 protocol in Durham, the trio was suspended indefinitely but reports of a potential one-year ban have now emerged, thereby making the already limping Sri Lankan squad even weaker.
"This is a second string Indian team and their coming here is an Insult on our Sri Lanka cricket. I blame the current administration for agreeing to play with them due to television marketing needs." - Arjuna Ranatunga (Told Reporters)
    — CricketMAN2 (@man4_cricket) July 2, 2021
A couple of days ago, Sri Lankan legend Arjuna Ranatunga called the B-string of the Indian squad “weak” and considered their tour to the island nation an insult to Sri Lankan cricket.

"India sent their best team to England and sent a weaker side to play here. I blame our board for that," the former Sri Lankan player had said.
