    Kapil Dev speaks up about the rumours of the possibility of Rahul Dravid replacing Ravi Shastri as the main and only head coach of the Indian cricket team later in the year. The 1983 World Cup-winning skipper does his best to remain politically correct and neutral toward both sides. 
    At the moment, there are two strings of the Indian cricket team and both of them are touring different countries. The A-string is currently in England and after losing the World Test Championship final against New Zealand, are looking forward to a five-match Test series against Joe Root and Co. - this side is being coached by Ravi Shastri.’

This squad is traveling under the mentorship of Rahul Dravid and is widely being considered a trial run before ‘the Wall’ takes up Shastri’s job as the full-time head coach of the Indian side.
    Here’s what Kapil Dev had to say about the Shastri-Dravid Head Coach race:
    "I don’t think there is any need to speak about it. Let this Sri Lanka series get over. We’ll get to know the kind of performance our team has dished out. If you’re trying to shape a new coach, there’s nothing wrong with it,” he said on the Wah Cricket Show on ABP News about the possibility of Dravid being on a trial period.

    “Then again, if Ravi Shastri continues to do a good job, there’s no reason to remove him either. Only time will tell. Before that, I think it will put unnecessary pressure on our coaches and players," the former India captain said while ensuring that Shastri doesn’t get left out.
    "India have a big bench strength. If players get the opportunity and India can assemble two teams that can claim to win in both England and Sri Lanka, there is nothing better. If the youngsters get the opportunity, there’s nothing wrong with it. But if it is up to the team management to decide whether they should apply such pressure on two teams simultaneously," Kapil pointed out about the usual habits of the Indian cricket community of putting too much pressure on the squad.

    Samsung is expected to announce an array of devices the company has been working on, including new foldable smartphones and accessories. According to a leak, Samsung is set to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, the Galaxy Watch and the Galaxy Buds 2 on August 11th.

    The leak comes from Twitter user FronTron who has a good track record for rumours and tips. Samsung is apparently launching the aforementioned devices in an ‘Unpacked’ event which will be live-streamed across all of their social media channels.

    There have been plenty of rumours regarding the next iteration of Samsung’s foldable devices. For starters, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 isn’t expected to be significantly different from its predecessor in terms of design and even specifications. However, the smartphone is expected to have support for the S Pen now that Samsung has discontinued the Galaxy Note series. The Galaxy Fold 3 also popped up on Geekbench giving us a better idea about its specifications. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC and come with up to 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy Z Fold3 will feature two Super AMOLED screens — a 6.23" cover display and a 7.55" internal foldable screen. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to go on sale on August 27th.

    Samsung is also expected to announce the Galaxy Z Flip 3 which will have a clamshell foldable design. The overall design of the smartphone might be slightly different from the previous model but we will know more about the upcoming smartphone in the coming weeks. The Galaxy Z Flip 3

    Is expected to go on sale on August 27th alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

    Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch Active alongside the two smartphones where each device will be powered by WearOS. There could be a possibility that we might see new features especially since Google announced a partnership with the South Korean giant for wearables. The Galaxy Watch 4 is expected to be available in two sizes i.e. 40mm and 44mm.

    Dinesh Karthik is a man of words and there is no two ways about it. The Indian cricketer not only feels comfortable as a commentator but also provides some in-depth analysis of on-going matches, even though it has been less than a month since his debut behind the microphone.
    Becoming the voice of an international cricket match for the first time during the World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand at Southampton’s Ageas Bowl, the Chennai-born star impressed his fans with his work.

    He was witty, fluent, and interactive during his time inside the commentary box, he’d ask his colleagues interesting questions, and give informative answers when required. However, it is his tendency of going overboard with the jokes that has already forced him to apologise on live television twice in his 17-day career.
    The Nasser Hussain Incident:
    It was on the very first day of the WTC final when the iconic commentator, Nasser Hussain was complimenting Rohit Sharma’s intent to bat aggressively against short-pitch balls, and the skills that allowed him to play a pull show on command. Hussain also commended the ‘Hitman’ on his footwork against spin bowlers.
    Everything was running smoothly until Karthik cut him off with a zinger of a one-liner. “Just opposite of what you did,” Karthik replied cheekily as he announced his arrival in the world of commentary.

    And even though Karthik’s sledging made him a hit in the eyes of Indian fans on the first day, Karthik went on to apologise to his new colleague in the initial minutes of the game time on Day 2 before rain ruined it all.
    Comparing A Bat To Neighbour’s Wife
    Then came the even bigger debacle in which the commentator went on to compare the relationship of a batsman and his bat with that of a man and his neighbour’s wife, albeit in a joking manner. 
    “Batsman and not liking bats, they just go hand in hand. Most of the batters don’t seem to like their bats. They either like another person’s bat,” Karthik said during the second ODI between Sri Lanka and England at The Oval in London. “Bats are like neighbour’s wife, they always feel better,” he added, which left many people disappointed.

    Within a day of facing some serious social media backlash, Karthik went on to make yet another apology, this time not just to a single person by everyone who thought that his comments were sexist and in bad taste.
    “I want to apologise for what happened last game. It’s not really what I intended. I just got it all wrong. I apologise to everybody. It’s definitely not the right thing to say. I got a lot of stick from my wife and my mum for saying that. I am really sorry that it shouldn’t happen again," he said according to a Republic World report.

    Divorce is still a very controversial and widely debated topic in modern India. People are too quick to judge people who announce their separation and stigmas around it make it even more complicated. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao recently announced their separation as they ended their 15 years of marriage.
    “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared a lifetime of experiences, joy, and laughter, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect, and love. Now we would like to begin a new chapter in our lives — no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family for each other. We began a planned separation some time ago, and now feel comfortable to formalize this arrangement, of living separately yet sharing our lives the way an extended family does. We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will nurture and raise together. We will also continue to work as collaborators on films, Paani Foundation, and other projects that we feel passionate about. A big thank you to our families and friends for their constant support and understanding about this evolution in our relationship, and without whom we would not have been so secure in taking this leap.     They both were bashed heavily but things got uglier when they came online on the YouTube page of Paani Foundation. Aamir went on to say that the news of their separation might have shocked a lot of people but they are happy.
    “We just want to say that we both are extremely happy and are still one family. Our relationship has changed but we are still together in a way. And Paani Foundations like Azad, our kid. So we will always stay together as a family. Pray for our happiness. That’s all we wanted to say,” said the Lagaan actor.

    Their intent was probably to normalize the dialogue around their divorce but it completely backfired as people weren’t pleased by the fact they were unnecessarily hyping it up.
    People went on to say if they were happy together, they shouldn’t have gone for separation. They said that it’s all a drama and they are attention-hungry people.

    Kaun Banega Crorepati is one of the most-watched quiz shows in India. The show has 13 long seasons and all the seasons have been hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, except one season which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.

    This happened after Amitabh Bachchan declined the offer in season 3 for hosting the show.
    However, the makers of the show were expecting great results after the season was hosted by SRK. However, ratings of the show slowly started to fall. The audience didn’t accept SRK the same way they accepted Amitabh Bachchan.

    Amitabh Bachchan was brought back for the next season. 
    Now, in an interview with The Indian Express, Siddharth Basu, the show’s producer said, “What didn’t work with SRK was the comparison with AB. I think SRK did KBC in his way with charm and wit, and as far as I know, it garnered good ratings. We have done three shows with SRK, and I believe he is one of the most natural TV hosts who can think on his feet.”
    He further added, “But let’s face it, AB will always be the ABC of KBC, and on this show, those are very big shoes to fill.”

    He also expressed how Amitabh Bachchan wasn’t keen on joining the show when it was pitched to him as he is a Bollywood megastar and was skeptical about coming on TV.
    However, the makers flew him to London to watch a taping of the original Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, which was when he got convinced to do the show.

    Also, when SRK was called to host the show, he said, “I was pleasantly surprised when STAR offered me the show. I was a participant in season one of KBC... and little did I know one day I would be hosting it."
    He said, “It is a huge act to follow, that of Mr. Bachchan... but it also excites me that I am getting an opportunity to reach out (and) talk and interact with my audience through a medium where I began my career as an actor years ago."

    The ridiculous list of demands being made by Sushil Kumar seems to be endless as on Sunday, officials revealed that the two-time Olympic medallist requested a television in Tihar jail in order to keep himself updated with the latest happenings in the wrestling world.
    According to a News 18 report, Kumar urged to have a TV set up brought to him through his advocate to a senior jail official.

    This isn’t the first time the 38-year old athlete had expressed the need to have a luxury while being under police and judicial custody. 
    Ever since getting arrested in the murder case of fellow wrestler, Sagar Dhankar, he has also demanded special nutritional supplements like Omega 3 capsules, pre-workout supplements, a protein shake and multivitamin pills among other things, in order to get a proper “wrestler’s diet”. 
    A regular jail’s diet, which consists of five rotis, two vegetables, dal and rice, which the inmates get twice a day, is not good enough for the athlete.
    Back when the Delhi Police were finally able to get their hands on Kumar, who had been absconding for over two weeks since Dhankar’s death, he was full of regret, had refused to eat anything, had sleepless nights in the Model Town police station, while crying on the floor.

    Today, the murder-accused seems to be enjoying his life behind bars as he gets to make such luxurious demands, carry out detailed photo-shoots with the police right at the front gate of one of the biggest prisons of the world and remain all smiles as he makes his way inside.
    "The one who murdered my son does not deserve to be called a mentor. All the medals won by Sushil Kumar should be taken from him. We believe that police will investigate properly but Sushil will try to influence it by using his political links," Rana's mother argued, according to India Today.

    "We are hoping for justice. Where did he go when he was absconding, who gave him shelter, and most importantly the gangsters with whom he is connected to. He should be hanged so that people learn a lesson and think before killing his own pupil," said Rana’s father.
