    Vijender Singh is arguably India's most popular and proven boxer in recent time. The Haryana lad has won nine medals for India in multiple events, including a bronze at the coveted Olympic Games back in 2008. And, if that's not enough to show for his skills, the fact that the 31-year-old has been on a seven-match unbeaten run in his professional boxing career, surely makes him one of fiercest competitors in the sport.
    But, despite his achievements, Vijender's next WBO Asia Pacific challenger Francis Cheka feels that the Indian pugilist is no good.
    Ahead of the title bout on 17 December, the Tanzanian boxer fired some verbal volleys and undermined India's first Olympic medallist in the sport. "Vijender’s Olympic medal is nothing. I am a World Champion and inter-continental champion.

    On December 17, Vijender will know why I am a world champion. I feel sorry India has picked Vijender to fight me. Vijender looks scared already. India will be ashamed on Saturday," Cheka said.
    Now, a boxer who has already fought 40 times in his career so far should ideally know the importance of an Olympic medal. Even if you take that out of the equation, a professional boxer like Cheka should at least have a little respect for the Olympic Games, if not for his opponent.
    A bust-up at a pre-event face-off is pretty much a ritual for the promotion of a marquee bout. So, seeing the two boxers get into each others' faces and exchanging a few pleasantries is a common sight in the sport. But, in a bid to spice things up, Cheka seems to have taken things to a different level.
    Calling an Olympic medal "nothing" and then challenging a nation by saying that "India will be ashamed" is definitely not the kind of chatter you usually come across at a pre-match face-off. And it looks like the Tanzanian boxer, who has never won a bout away from home, can probably learn a thing or two from his Indian opponent.

    While Cheka was firing verbal shots, Vijender sounded like pro with his composed reaction to the jibe. "December 17 night will decide the kind of training that I and Lee Baird (his trainer) had put in. I don't care who my opponent is. I am 110 per cent ready. I will show him who the best is," Vijender said.
    Even as Cheka shoved him during the customary face-off photo-op, the Indian showed restraint. A boxer doesn't really need a loud mouth to prove his skills and a professional would rather save his vigour for the ring.
    On the other hand, Cheka also needs to assess the fate of Vijender's former opponents who all made tall claims just like him before biting the dust.

    "I don't care who is in front of me on the night, they're going to get beat, plain and simple. I hear that Singh is a massive superstar in India, well I'll be looking to send a brutal message back to his home when I beat him," Whiting had said before the bout.
    There's no better way to shut your opponent than proving yourself at the time when it matters the most. And that's exactly what Vijender did. The Indian boxer made a sensational debut in professional boxing and stunned Whiting to register his maiden win. Whiting lost through a technical knock-out in the third round at the Manchester Arena in October, 2015.

    "He's an Olympian and that speaks for itself, he's a hero in his country and he's idolised by millions of people, but at some point he'll have to get beat and that could well be his second fight against me," Nottingham's Dean Gillen had said before the fight.
    Vijender, who was more defensively solid than his first bout, took just one round to knock out Gillen and recorded his second consecutive win in pro boxing. Vijender's impeccable footwork and powerful punches proved a tad too good for the British pugilist who lost the bout in the opening round at the National stadium in Dublin.

    "I don't see Vijender as a threat. I don't think Vijender is ready to fight someone like me yet. He still punches like an amateur and he will feel the full force of a true professional now. And believe me I am going to cause a big upset, I'm sorry India but your man is going to lose," Bulgaria's Samet Hyuseinov had promised to send Vijender back to India "beaten and broken".
    Just like his predecessors, Hyuseinov's fate was no different. The Bulgarian boxer suffered the full barrage of Vijender's powerful blows and lost the fight after a technical knockout in the second round at the Manchester Arena in December, 2015.

    "With snake blood coursing through my veins there in no way that Singh will defeat me. I’m heading over to England to teach him a lesson in boxing and there’s only going to be one winner. On the night I will be too strong and too quick for him,” the Hungarian pugilist taunted Vijender before the bout.
    Horvath, who was dining on viper's blood in build-up to the fight, looked less venomous against the Indian boxer who rallied to his fourth consecutive win. Vijender used his strategy of gauge and attack to knock out his opponent in the third round.

    “I know I’ve got the beating of Vijender already; I saw it in his eyes. He looked scared to me. There’s no doubt in my mind I’ll knock him out tomorrow night. There’s no way I’m letting this guy beat me. He won’t have a reply for anything I throw at him and once I start landing it will be game over for India’s golden boy,” French pugilist Matiouze Royer had said before the fight.
    Unperturbed by the trash-talk, the Indian boxer reigned supreme once again as he notched his fifth straight win. Royer withstood the onslaught but his determination finally broke in the fifth round after an unrelenting Vijender brought him to his knees with a barrage of body blows. The 29-year-old Frenchman could not continue further because of his bloodied eye, giving the Haryana champ yet another dominant victory.

    “Friday the 13th is going to be a horror show for India’s golden boy Vijender. It’s about time his lucky streak came to an end and I’m going to be the man who delivers the knockout blow! He’s had it easy up until now, us Polish are a different breed," Poland's Andrzej Soldra said before the clash.
    Facing the first eight-round fight of his fledging professional career, Vijender hammered his opponent right from the start, forcing the referee to stop the contest around two minutes into the third round. Soldra did try to put up a strong fight but the Indian's punching power eventually proved too much for him.

    "I'm leaving no stone unturned in my preparation. Make no mistake, Vijender Singh is in trouble. He knows it and I know it. I saw the fear in his eyes at the press conference. He knows that he's not in my league," Australian boxer Kerry Hope attacked Vijender before the title fight.
    Arguably his toughest fight till date, Vijender was dragged till the tenth round by his Australian counterpart before emerging as the unanimous winner with a score of 98-92, 98-92, 100-90 by the judges. Hope, a former world no. 4, looked a bit rusty and was unable to counter Vijender's well-timed uppercuts. The win made the Indian pugilist the new WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight champion.
    So, in light of these victories, maybe Francis Cheka should keep his mouth shut and maybe Vijender won’t light him up like a Christmas tree.

    Let me put it straight: spending tons of hours in the gym will not lead you anywhere. If you enter the gym clueless about the day’s routine, you will look the same, week after week. Doing sets after sets, of the exercises you don’t need, will not help either. There’s no alternative to hard and smart training. Here’s how you should go about your training.
    1) Set A Goal. It Can Be Whatever. Everything You Do Should Take You Towards It © Thinkstock
    Without a goal, you will fail to achieve anything in the gym. It can be anything. Strength gain, fat loss, hypertrophy or just getting better at certain lift, set a goal. Everything starts from here. This will lay the foundation of your daily routine and your dietary choices. Look for a good coach who knows his shit.
    2) If You Are Trying To Drop Body Fat, 80% Of Your Focus Should Be On Your Diet © Thinkstock
    This is for everybody who mindlessly runs on the treadmill and thinks he has put in hard work. Sorry to offend you, but you haven’t. If purely fat loss is your goal, you need to watch what goes in your mouth. 80% game is about food intake. Couple it with a few compound resistance training movements, and you are good to go. Stick to big basic lifts and clean up your diet. 
    3) Make A Workout Log. You Should Know Well In Advance What You Would Be Doing Today © Thinkstock
    If you walk into the gym just because you have paid a fee and think ‘you should show up’, then you really need to rethink your training ethics. Not having a workout plan is plain idiocy. Design a plan in advance. One body part a day or two part split, whatever sails your boat. But so have a plan. Log everything you do each day and you will see how you’ll make progress. 
    4) Don’t Do Exercises You See Other People Doing. Do What You NEED To Do © Thinkstock
    ‘My friend does this, so I’ll do it as well’. Nope, you are not your friends. Different bodies, different workout rules. Remember, there are no exercise rules, there are only body rules. If you are a skinny lad, new to the world of iron, you have no business bicep curling or forearm rolling. You need to stick to big basic lifts. Same goes for overweight dudes: stay away from running and stick to high volume basic compound lifts.

    It’s been over a month since I have been using the Google Pixel and the Pixel XL and it surprises me everyday with what it is capable of. It is packed with new features unlike the iPhone and its reputation keeps growing.

    You should note that opinions may differ and be very subjective. Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone has some awesome features that the Pixel lacks in but the Pixel has a few tricks up its sleeve that blows the iPhone out of the water. 
    I am comparing the Google Pixel with the iPhone 7 and my experience with the two phones. Both phones have been used simultaneously and excessively. So why do I think the Pixel is a better phone? Let’s find out.
    1. It has a headphone jack
    Apple might be right in the long run about removing the headphone jack and encouraging the usage of wireless headphones without a headphone jack in today’s world means it causes all of us a lot of inconvenience.  The Google Pixel has one, for now. 
    2. The Camera is Outstanding!
    The iPhone 7 has an impressive camera, no doubt but Google’s camera has earned it itself the highest rating when it comes quality. The Google Pixel was awarded an 89 DXO Mark Mobile rating which is much higher than the iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 has a 12-megapixel camera whereas the Pixel has a 12.3-megapixel camera.  Pixel’s f/2.0 lens destroys iPhone’s f/1.8 lens and performs way better in low-light environments.

    The front facing camera on the Pixel has a better lens than the iPhone 7, which gives you even better selfies than the latter. 
    3. It’s Got A Better Screen The Google Pixel shows crisper pictures at higher resolutions. The standard Pixel’s resolution is 1920 x 1080, while the Pixel XL boasts a resolution of 2560 x 1440

    When you compare the iPhone 7 with the Pixel, it only has a resolution of 1334 X 750 and the display is also smaller than the Pixel. 
    4.  Fast Charging Is A Thing Now The Pixel uses a USB-C port which makes fast charging possible for the phone and can get up to 7 hours of charge in less than 20 minutes. The iPhone still takes it sweet time to charge. 
    5.  Google Assistant Is Awesome Well, it's quite clear that the Google Assistant is way better than Siri. There is no shadow of doubt that it has a better interface, it is more responsive and can draw more information than Siri. It also has Google’s full weight behind it, which Siri simply cannot compete with.

    The future of smartphone technology, according to Synaptics, is evolving rapidly and this also includes fingerprint scanners. Synaptics is a company that has been manufacturing physical user interfaces for some of the most popular devices in the world. They were responsible for the iconic scroll wheel on the iPod almost a decade ago.

    Yesterday, the company announced its first ever fingerprint sensor for smartphones and it does not even require a physical home button to function. In fact, their new FS9100 sensor will be able to detect your fingerprints straight through the glass. The glass needs to be 1mm thick and this means that phones in the future will do away with a stand-alone fingerprint reader. Instead, the fingerprint scanner will be embedded into the display. 

    This means it’s the end of the home button. 
    "By bringing optical sensing technology with the right form-factor and power consumption envelope to smartphones and tablets, Synaptics is enabling the elimination of the home button, which is a critical next step to full top-to-bottom, edge-to-edge smartphone and tablet displays," said IDC Research Director Les Santiago in a press release.
    An all glass phone is what we all have been dreaming about and the Xiaomi Mi Mix has already given us a taste of an almost bezel-less phone. If the new sensor by Synaptics is implemented soon enough, we can finally have a phone that will have an edge-to-edge display. 
    We can also assume that at some point Apple will also implement this technology in their upcoming phones and we have a good feeling that it might end up in the iPhone 8. It has been rumoured that the iPhone 8 may be an all glass phone and the FS9100 sensor might just compliment the new iPhone perfectly. 
    Synaptics claims that their new sensor is extremely light, thin and consumes very little power, which has always been a concern on smartphones as traditional sensors always have an issue where size and battery consumption has been a problem. 
    The new sensor is expected to go into mass production by the second quarter of 2017 and it seems that it’ll be ready in time to be implemented on the iPhone 8. Apple doesn’t really reveal anything about their suppliers and they have not used Synaptics since the initial days of the iPod. 
    Apple recently patented a fingerprint sensing technology that enables a phone to read fingerprints from any part of an iPhone or iPad screen. This suggests that Apple may have already figured out this new fingerprint sensor technology by other means. 
    Whatever the future holds, we can’t wait to see what tech is in store for us.

    Motorola has launched its very first all-metal smartphone in the Indian market and the phone will be available in two variants. The two variants include the 32GB storage version with 3GB RAM for Rs. 15,999 and a second model with 64GB storage + 4GB RAM for Rs. 17,999.

    Both models will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Lenovo is offering a Rs 1,000 discount for Citibank customers and Rs. 2000 discount if you exchange your old smartphone. 
    The phone will have Dual-Sim capabilities and will not have Nougat as the software which means it will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The all-metal body phone has a 5.5-inch IPS display which is full-HD resolution (1080X1920 pixels).

    The phone will have a 2.2GHz quad-core MediaTek Helio P15 processor and also an option to expand storage up to 128 GB if you slip a microSD in the secondary SIM card slot.

    The Moto M has a 16-megapixel primary camera and also has Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. The phone supports 4G VoLTE i.e. it will work well with Indian LTE bands and has a battery that is rated at 3050mAh and supports fast-charging has thanks to the USB-C port. It even has a headphone jack for audiophiles.

    It’s one thing to feel patriotic and brimming with national pride, but tagging others as anti-nationals for some lame reason does not really make your love for your country stronger. That’s exactly what happened with badminton player Saina Nehwal who was called ‘anti-national’ by some people on Facebook for posting a picture with her Honor 8 smartphone.  

    Saina’s post read “My new Honor 8 phone…..love the phone and colour”. It was funny how some people can interpret anything and everything in a negative manner and as expected, people got upset because she was promoting a Chinese smartphone brand. Technically Facebook wasn’t started by any Indian, so what’s the next step,stop using social media lest you want to be called out as someone who does not love his or her country enough? We just don’t have words for these people who were once her die-hard fans are now criticizing her and not for her professional skills but for a smartphone. 





    Clearly, her achievements, trophies, prestigious titles and medals hold no merit and do not stand as a parameter for being patriotic. Honor is Huawei’s sub brand and Nehwal has been roped in as the Honor India’s brand ambassador. Everyone has the right to express their opinion, but lashing out at others for something this irrelevant is bizarre. We are sure there are many people who use iPhones and other Android smartphones which are not manufactured in India, so will you disown them as well? If you think that makes you less patriotic, wait till Patanjali comes out with its own range of smartphones.
    However there were some sane minds who understood the situation and supported the player as well.

    Nike has finally made it clear that they want to be pushing boundaries when it comes to adapting new technologies in their sneakers and they have finally introduced their highly anticipated self-lacing shoe. They call it the ‘HyperAdapt 1.0’ and it will cost a whopping $720 and will only be available in select locations. 
    We saw Nike launch the 2016 Mag that was inspired by the movie ‘Back To The Future Part II’ and the standout feature was its power laces, which would tie itself. Now I don’t know about you but I simply cannot resist a self-lacing shoe and the HyperAdapt is the consumer version of the 2016 Mag. The shoe gives a tickling feeling when you put on the pair but it does what it is meant to do, tie its own laces.

    The HyperAdapt 1.0 is designed as a performance shoe however sneaker heads like me look at it as a collector’s item. The shoe utilised a system that is called ‘E.A.R.L.’ short for Electro Adaptive Reactive Lacing, which kicks in as soon as your heels touch the insole.

    Once your feet are in and the laces require adjustment, there are two buttons, which will let you fool around with the tightness or the looseness of the fit. It even has an auto-mode where the HyperAdapt adjusts the fitting of the shoe according to the shape of your foot. The E.A.R.L. system makes a very pleasing sound when it starts lacing up the shoe.

    The blue block that is present on the bottom the shoe is used to indicate how much power is left and a bright blue light signifies that the shoe is completely charged. The shoe can be recharged and according to Nike, the battery life on the HyperAdapt can last up to two weeks. There are LEDs on the back of the shoe, which lights up every time HyperAdapt is in action. 
    In order to buy these magnificent shoes, you will need to book an appointment and it is only available in New York City as of now. Good luck getting them!

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi might be receiving a bit of flak from some people for inefficiently carrying out the demonetization move, but his decision seems to be a hit in Australia as the government has decided to follow in Modi’s footsteps and ban the $100 note. The $100 bank note is the highest-denomination in the country. Kelly O’Dwyer, Australia’s Revenue and Financial Services Minister told ABC radio station that this move is to curb black money. Reportedly, the government might make the announcement in their mid-year budget update on Monday. Woah, who knew this Modi wave could have been so strong that it crossed the entire Indian Ocean to create an impact in Australia’s economy.

    Ms. O’Dwyer told ABC, “black money is critical to both - the country since it loses revenue and the people who pay taxes and do the right thing.” Reports also suggest that Michael Andrew, former KPMG global chairman, may be chosen to administer a black economy taskforce. If reports are to be believed then 1.5% of total GDP of Australian economy accounts for black money.  
    In India, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes, which were once the highest denominations, were no longer legal tender post December 8. This move was to curb black money and to also encourage people to move towards a cashless society. Similarly, the Australian government has put a halt to their $100 bank notes.

    According to reports, currently, there are 300 million $100 notes in circulation. However, the citizens of Australia won’t get a major shock like we got because their government has already talked about this move, unlike ours, who informed us just a few hours before the note ban. So, all those people who had terrible internet connections or were hanging out with their friends or standing in the ATM to take out 1000s of rupees while Modi was giving his speech – you were literally doomed.
    However, Australia isn’t the only country where Modi’s demonetization found support; earlier Indonesia too announced a demonetization drive as well.

Enter debutant Sankalp, who is coming up with India’s first ever war-at-sea film called ‘The Ghazi Attack’. Produced by Karan Johar’s own banner Dharma Productions, the film stars Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu, both of whom have won accolades for their recent films.

    The Indian cricket team recorded an emphatic win against England in the fourth Test and took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series on 12 December. While Indian fans are elated with the series win, former England skipper Michael Vaughan seems a bit miffed.
    The former cricketer has questioned the International Cricket Council (ICC) for not punishing India's premier spinner Ravichandran Ashwin for his altercation with seamer James Anderson during the fifth day of the fourth Test in Mumbai.
    Vaughan took to Twitter to express his emotions and said: "I don't understand @ICC why @benstokes38 was done for dissent in Mohali but @ashwinravi99 gets away with it in Mumbai .. ??? Please explain."

    During the post-match conference, Kohli revealed that the Indian off-spinner was unhappy with Anderson for questioning the Indian Test captain's batting technique during a media interaction the other day.

    He continued, "Ashwin was not pleased with whatever he (Anderson) said something in the press. Ashwin told me on the ground. I had no clue about it. I did not know what to make of it. I was laughing about it but Ashwin wasn't too impressed. He (Ashwin) let him (Anderson) know, not using any bad words, honestly."
    "I think he told him 'he was pretty disappointed' with what he said. 'It is important to accept defeat the way it is' and things like that. You know how Ashwin is. He can strike you well, to the point. He doesn't need to use bad words. That is exactly what happened. Later on I told 'James it is fine these things happen'.     Earlier, in an oddly ungracious assessment, Anderson had suggested that Kohli has not improved as a batsman. "I'm not sure he's (Kohli) changed. I just think any technical deficiencies he's got aren't in play out here. The wickets just take that out of the equation. There's not that pace in the wicket to get the nicks, like we did against him in England - with a bit more movement," Anderson had said.
    "When that's not there, he's very much suited to playing in these conditions. He's a very good player of spin - and if you're not bang on the money and don't take your chances, he'll punish you," the right-arm fast bowler had said indicating that Kohli was good only on home pitches.

    Pankaj Advani showed his class once again as he trumped Peter Gilchrist of Singapore to win his 11th World Billiards Championship. This is also his 16th world title overall and establishes him as an all time great in cue sports. Advani beat Gilchrist six games to three in an engrossing encounter and won with the scores of 151 (98)-33, 150 (97)-95, 124-150, 101 (98)-150 (89), 150 (87)-50, 152-37, 86 (86)-150, 151 (110)-104, 150 (88)-15.
    Advani had a really good outing in the semi-finals in his morning encounter with Myanmar’s Aung Htay where he posted a century break in every game. A century break is a score of 100 points or more within one visit to the table without any misses.

    The final against Gilchrist, however, was a very different affair. After seven games Pankaj Advani led 4-3 and demanded a good game from him thereon to fetch his 11th billiards title. Pankaj then posted his only century break of the finals, a score of 110 and nearly doused any hopes of a comeback from Gilchrist. 48-year-old Gilchrist had won the Long up championship earlier beating Sourav Kothari 1500-617 in a one sided final.
    Pankaj Advani now has a total of 16 world titles in cue sports which firmly establish him as the greatest Indian player of cue sports. This however, is not enough for even a sportsman of his stature to garner as much applause as a cricketer’s century in an uneventful test series. This divide in Indian sports is only growing with time. The monopoly of a single sport in a country of a billion people is staggering to say the least but what is deeply worrying is the fact that even hardcore fans find it difficult to follow some of these premier events because of the lack of prime time coverage.

    Advani is already a 16 time world champion and is still just 31. If he continues to rack up trophies at this speed he might just end up being the greatest cue sport player of all time and even though that would be a great achievement, some of us might still not be impressed because no amount of genius is enough unless you are a cricketer, right?

    Bollywood has been pretty worked up this year, especially after Pakistani artists were banned from working in India and many movies came to a halt because of that. The directors and producers were having a hard time since they already completed the movies with Pakistani actors and now were on the verge of seeing them chucked out completely. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar were called out and criticized for working with actors from across the border.

    Amidst all the flak and accusation, the king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan met Raj Thackeray recently and told him that he would not work with any Pakistani actors in future nor would he bring actress Mahira Khan to India for the promotion of his upcoming movie ‘Raees’. Calling his move an act of cowardice, Ujjal Dosanjh, former Premier of British Columbia, and former Canadian Health Minister; wrote a letter to the actor. He called the MNS “an edifice of fanaticism and hate” and did not expect him to “succumb to such illegal and unseemly conduct of any goons.” Here is the entire letter:
    “Dear Shah Rukh,
    I hope you do not mind me calling you Shah Rukh. Like most Indians I feel I know you. But then again, perhaps I don’t. First it was Karan Johar prostrating himself before the self-appointed extra constitutional arbiters of Indian patriotism, the MNS– an edifice of fanaticism and hate. I never thought you, the King, could succumb to such illegal and unseemly conduct of any goons, let alone the right wing religious fanatic variety. I had once defended in writing your freedom to speak when you had thought out loud about an increasing sense of insecurity being felt by many people in India. Until yesterday you were King Khan, the king of most Indian hearts. Now, one is left to wonder what you really are.
    I don’t know Mahira Khan. I am told she has an impressive screen presence. And you chose her to be your leading lady. You must have seen something in her to ask her to venture across the barb-wired border and appear in Raees despite the thorny Indo-Pak relations.
    You know that the word “raees” means “chief”, with a significant whiff of strength and power emanating from it. You were the King and had power that held sway over countless Indian hearts. Raj Thackeray and his hate spewing followers had no legal power to enforce their diktats. That is why they threatened to disrupt the peace and prevent “Raees” from being shown in the theatres unless you paid obeisance to Thackeray and agreed to not have Mahira attend the release of “Raees”.
    It must have been in a moment of fear or cowardice- you may call it desire to save your Raees from ruin and I would reluctantly understand– you decided to transform from the King in you into a beggar, clutching the beggar’s bowl in your frightfully folded hands and walk over to seek MNS’ mercy. In that moment you, just as Karan Johar had done before you– granted them the right to be the self appointed ‘guardians’ of peace and order in Mumbai and the surrounding areas. At that moment you mortgaged forever your freedom, particularly your freedom of expression, to MNS and any other group of goons who may choose to mimic them now or later.
    You might argue that you couldn’t count on Chief Minister Fadnavis having any or sufficient backbone to come to your aid and put Thackeray and his followers in their place. You knew he had once already surrendered to Raj Thackeray the chief ministerial power and responsibility to maintain law and order by sacrificing Johar at the MNS’ altar. But then again, life is all about choosing to fight rather than foregoing one’s dignity. You chose to be stripped of your dignity.
    You are one of the world’s wealthiest actors. You did not need to make more films just for money. I also know times do change and the hate of the MNS variety isn’t the kind of force that lasts forever. If people of goodwill band together they can always defeat the forces of darkness and evil. And then there is Mahatma Gandhi’s love is truth, truth is love–a power mightier than a million Hitlers. All the world needs, is a powerful voice of resistance against evil. Yours could have been that voice. Unfortunately you failed to become that voice.
    What kind of India is being ushered in where the tallest pillars of the film world like Karan and you keep falling one by one to pure hate and evil? Vast majority of Indians are decent, honest, peace loving and hardworking. They are also freedom loving. If you had resisted the suppression of your freedom of expression, they would have stood with you. Had you told the pseudo patriots to mind their own damn business, many Indians would have been ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with you in the ensuing fight.
    But unfortunately you chose surrender to evil, SRK. You bowed to hate. Hate won. And the love–far deeper and more important than the one for which you routinely sing and dance in the movies–the love of fundamental liberty and freedom of expression lost too. ‘King’ Khan, since you are no longer worthy of being called the “King”, please tell us what to call you after your extremely deplorable deal with the merchants of hate of the MNS?

    The India –Pakistan situation went from being sensitive to pretty ugly in no time. In the entertainment world, the MNS created a stir when it asked Bollywood to ban Pakistani actors and the immediate brunt was faced by Karan Johar when speculations were rife about Fawad Khan’s scenes being deleted in the controversial ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

    Later, Shah Rukh Khan was questioned as well, because his upcoming ‘Raees’ marks the debut for Mahira Khan, a famous name back in Pakistan.  Ritesh Sidhwani, the producer stood by his actress and claimed that since no ‘official’ ban was in place, they weren’t against getting her in the country. Shah Rukh was also present at the event. This media interaction fuelled rumours that Raj Thackeray’s relations with Khan might turn sour.

    However, the latest news floating around is that Shah Rukh met with the MNS chief and assured him that he won’t be working with any Pakistani actors in the future and also that his team had no plans of getting Mahira to India for the film’s promotion.
