    James Anderson had virtually made Virat Kohli his 'bunny' after he dismissed the star batsman four times in five Test matches during India's forgetful tour of England in 2014.
    Kohli's temperament and technique was ridiculed after the right-hander averaged just 20.12 with a single score over 50 in the nine previous Tests against England, something Anderson's teammates have cherished over the past few years.
    But, with revenge on his mind, the Indian Test captain has amassed 640 runs at a staggering average of 128 alongside two hundreds and two fifties with one match still to play in the five-match series. With a highest score of 235 runs, he is also the leading run-scorer in the series.

    And, the fact that Joe Root - who is second in the list of top run-scorers in the ongoing series - is 243 runs behind Kolhi, goes on show how the Delhi lad has dominated the home series. But, while the cricket fraternity is busy praising Kohli, Anderson seems to have come out as a sore loser.
    In an oddly ungracious assessment, the 34-year-old pacer suggested that Kohli has not improved as a batsman. "I'm not sure he's changed. I just think any technical deficiencies he's got aren't in play out here. The wickets just take that out of the equation," he said.
    "We had success against him in England, but the pace of the pitches over here just takes any flaws he has out of the equation. There's not that pace in the wicket to get the nicks, like we did against him in England with a bit more movement.

    Pitches like this suit him down to the ground. When that's not there, he's very much suited to playing in these conditions," Anderson added further.
    Now, one can surely point out the home conditions aiding the Indian team, but questioning the exploits of a player like Kohli, who has arguably been the best batsman in the series, seems a bit idiotic. And there is substantial justification behind that too.
    There's no doubt that Kohli struggled on the bowling-friendly tracks in England. He was drawn into dangerous and impatient strokes against the moving ball which led to his downfall. And, the Indian wickets are surely less conducive to swing and pace.

    But, consider this. On the same surfaces on which England have, since Rajkot, struggled with the bat, the Indian batting sensation has two centuries and four other scores of 40 and above. His best performance came in the second innings at Vizag, where he made 81 runs off 204 deliveries on a pitch that had uneven bounce against an England attack gaining lateral movement with the ball.
    Kohli has consistently proved to be a major thorn for England in the ongoing series. After his gritty knock in the second innings ensured a draw for his side, Kohli went on to slam pivotal hundreds in Visakhapatnam and Mumbai to seal the series 3-0 in India's favour.

    And if his masterful batting in the series doesn't prove that he is a vastly improved player since the last time he faced England, then believe me, nothing will. Losing might sting for a while, but it's probably the best way to learn how to improve - something Kohli has done brilliantly.
    So, as far as Mr. Anderson is concerned, we would like to advise England's cry-baby to grow a pair of balls and own up to the frailties of the lacklustre English side.

    When the posters of ‘OK Jaanu’ came out, the first reaction of the quintessential Bollywood movie buff was that “Thank God, Aditya and Shraddha are back!” Tons of expectations from two actors who have already delivered a hit when paired together, there is actually a lot of pressure on the two.

    The movie is a remake of ‘OK Kanmani’, and by the looks of the trailer, you will have a major nostalgic dose of ‘Saathiya’. One reason could be the fact the Shaad Ali directed that as well, and hence ‘OK Jaanu’ looks like old wine in a shiny, new bottle. The movie tells the tale of a modern day romance in the Mumbai suburbs, where the two vagabonds are preparing to leave the country to study and before that, just want a taste of a live-in.

    The background score is fabulous, courtesy AR Rahman, Shraddha and Aditya look nice together and looks like they need to stick to each other to deliver a hit. However, everyone was already expecting an ‘Aashiqui 2’ kind of crackling chemistry. Remember ‘Tum Hi Ho’?

    Well, that seems to be then that is missing. Overall, the trailer looks like a great popcorn treat.

    ‘Fast And Furious 7’ was pretty kickass. But you know that the fans and the makers just can’t have enough of the Fast and Furious franchise. The trailer for ‘Fast 8’ or ‘The Fate Of The Furious’, dropped last night and it’s already breaking the internet. Dwayne Johnson looks jacked and is busy blowing shit up as usual while Vin Diesel, this time around, is the villain. The trailer suggests that Diesel turns on his crew while under the influence of Charlize Theron, who plays the main villain.

    The trailer first featured on The Rock’s official fan page and has already garnered 26 million views in less than 24 hours. The whole team returns, taking their respective spots and Jason Statham also joins the crew to take down Diesel.     From the past 12 years, Karan Johar has kept the coffee brewing hot with the best talk show Bollywood has ever seen. The man sure has come a long way ahead in his career and personal life but if there’s one thing that’s been synonymous to his personality, it has been ‘rapid fire’. ‘Koffee With Karan’ just aired its 100th episode and what better way could Karan Johar have celebrated his century than inviting Salman Khan and his two brothers Sohail and Arbaaz on the show together!
    If you missed it, here’s what went on when the three Khan brothers sat across Karan Johar.
    1. The last time Salman Khan appeared on ‘Koffee With Karan’, he claimed to be a virgin and the nation just couldn’t deal. It was kinda fair that Karan Johar started right from where they left last season. “You’re still a virgin?” Karan asked. “Nothing has changed. I’m a virgin and so are you, Karan” pat came the reply from Salman, leaving Karan speechless.

    2. Before Karan Johar could even coax him about his ongoing divorce with Malaika Arora Khan, Arbaaz Khan dropped some major hints in the most hilarious way ever, throughout the show! 
    3. Salman Khan revealed that the three brothers used to share underwears when they were young but took it too far when he said “Sohail still comes home, wears mine and goes”, leaving Karan Johar disgusted. 
    4. Salman Khan made an earnest revelation about his love life, reflecting back on his failed relationships. “I’m not nicest guy when it comes to relationships. I was not very good with my ex girlfriends.” He said. But Arbaaz being the true sibling ruined it by adding “He was good to other people that time.”

The brothers didn’t shy away from admitting that they didn’t become as successful as Salman Khan because they didn’t work as hard as him. “One could have been in a better place if one would have a little more focus and put in more hard work when the time was right,” Arbaaz said without an iota of discomfort. Sohail didn’t seem insecure either when he added, “The harder you work, the luckier you get. We look forward to holidays, he looks forward to work. For the past 27 years he's never planned a holiday.”
    6. Salman Khan went on to narrate three hilarious incidents where random guests gatecrashed their parties, people broke into their house and were still welcomed and treated well, and how they almost became a part of the family!
    7. Sohail had another very interesting story to tell. He talked about how he eloped and got married to Seema and the maulvi he got kidnapped from the masjid turned out to be the same one Salman Khan’s father had kidnapped 35 years ago to marry their mother!
    8. Fighting for the Koffee hamper, Sohail said, “My mother in law really wants it” to which Arbaaz said “you’re the only one here who’s mother in-law wants it” and spelled out the obvious about his failed marriage with Malaika Arora Khan.

    9. Arbaaz was asked about that one person who could never complete the no-***-for-one-month challenge. Let’s just say there will never be any more questions on Salman Khan’s virginity. 
    10. Sohail revealed why they used to call Arbaaz Khan’s room ‘The Bermuda Traingle’ after every hot girl who entered their house got sucked into that zone! And we thought Salman was the real chick magnet!
    11. Salman Khan messed up the lyrics of the song ‘Mujhko Ranaji Maaf Karna’ from his own film ‘Karan Arjun’ so bad, it turned into a laugh riot!
    12. Salman Khan danced on Sheila Ki Jawani and it was one of the most entertaining moments of the entire episode!

    Music is said to enhance productivity, well, it seems that humans aren’t the only ones benefitting from it. Cows too seem to enjoy music. Gopal Guashala Samiti in Rajasthan is using some uber cool and high-tech ways to increase the cow milk productivity – they have installed music systems and loud-speakers worth Rs. 40,000 in their shelter where they play Bhajans twice a day and if the authorities are to be believed, the method is working.

    The president of the Sikar based Gaushala, Daulat Ram Goyal, said “I once read that listening to bhajans can bring about hormonal changes in cows, and increase their milk-generating abilities.” He further added, “We installed our music system way back in June, and guess what! The cows have been producing more milk in the last six months.” Wow, who knew our cows could be so fancy.
    What’s more, to ensure that the cows don’t miss out any beat or note, six amplifiers have been installed across the Gaushala. Damn! Talk about getting all that bass? These cows are getting more action than we humans can even think of. The 58-year-old Goyal further added that the cows don’t listen to any music, they have their own selected music track. “The bhajans are played twice a day – 5:15 AM to 8 AM in the morning, and 4.30 PM to 7:30 PM in the evening. The tracks include devotional songs written by Meera Bai and phrases from the Ramacharitmanas.”

    No matter how weird this sounds, at least this method is working wonders for the Gaushala and Goyal even claims that in the seven years of his tenure here, he has never seen cows producing this much milk. He said, “Earlier, the cows would collectively bear around 130 litres of milk every day. It has now gone up to 170 litres. All our cows are of the ‘pure desi’ breed, and this is the largest gaushala of its kind in the Shekhawati region.” 
    Well, now that their productivity is increased, they can definitely demand a hike in terms of good quality straw and hay in their next appraisal meet.

    27-year-old Iqbal Sayed from Mumbai, not only represented India at the Mr. Olympia amateur event held in Hong Kong, but also made the whole country proud by winning the silver medal. Sayed is a civil engineer with Reliance Infrastructure and Mumbai Metro and this is said to be his very first tournament. Sayed, the 2015 Mr. Mumbai runner up, beat nearly 20 participants from other countries in the Classic Bodybuilding category and finished second.  
    “I’m very happy that I’ve been able to do justice to the training that I put in for the past 6 months. Since I have a day job, it means that I had to dedicate all my time into this game” Sayed told Sportskeeda. “I suffered with Typhoid 10 days prior to the tournament; I was literally in tears as the doctor told me I won’t be able to participate. However, I had to participate as I put in so much effort,” Sayed further added, while showing gratitude towards all the people around him who helped him win.

    What’s surprising is the fact that Sayed received training from none other than Rakesh Udiyar, the coach behind Aamir Khan’s Dangal transformation that has been making headlines recently. From being a civil engineer with an engineering and MBA degree to a professional body-builder, Sayed’s journey is an inspiration for people. He started body-building a year back and went on to be crowned as Junior Maharashtra Shree and Mr. Ghatkopar.

    This victory was definitely not an easy one as Sayed was suffering from Typhoid right before the event. However, he fought against all odds and not only participated in the contest but won the silver medal. In fact, after this victory, he is now the second best classic bodybuilder in Asia. Aiming to find a place for him in the fitness industry, Sayed feels that if he can achieve so much with only 3 hours of practice a day, then if he takes it up full time, he can do much better.

    Sayed thanked his Mumbai Metro Project team, his immediate manager at Reliance Infrastructure, and HR officer for helping him train and co-operate. He further thanked his best friend for being a continuous motivational mentor and his support. “I never entered this competition to win anything, I entered to get exposure at this level but somehow I impressed the judges and here I am,” Sayed said. There could not have been a better and humbler response than this.

    Post the currency demonetisation drive by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, if there’s anyone who is taking the concept of ‘cashless society’ seriously, it’s the temples in Kanpur who are now accepting donations through card payments and mobile wallets. In fact, Kanpur’s Anandeshwar Temple has even applied for GPRS-enabled point-of-sale card swiping machines, so that devotees can donate money through debit and credit cards. There was a massive drop in cash donations after the ban on Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes.

    What’s more, the temple, situated on the banks of Ganga, has also started Paytm services for devotees to transfer donations directly to the temple’s e-wallet. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is said to be one of the oldest temples in Uttar Pradesh, with more than 50,000 people on Mondays. The decision to accept card payments was taken by the temple following the Kanpur bar association’s request to the lawyers to go cashless and install card swiping machines or use e-wallets. For devotees, this move can really be helpful. We wonder if these temples can help us out with getting cash as well, since the long queues in front of banks and ATMs haven’t really reduced much.

    While you fancy those kickass counter terrorism games on your X-box and PlayStations, it’s time to watch some real action performed by the Special Russian Forces that killed a senior ISIS member, involved in carrying out deadly bombings in the country, in one of the most dramatic combat scenarios. Reportedly, the forces used a machinegun robot during the operation as well.

    Rustam Aselderov was located in Makhachkala, in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. The anti-terror forces cornered him at a secret compound and started firing into the building. After some time, a weaponised robot rolls forward and is planted in a way to face the building before opening fire. Woah, guess the combat scenes in movies aren’t completely fictional after all, they draw some inspiration from operations like these.

    Soldiers were seen securing the area after the robot’s machinegun ripped holes in the wall with bullets. Reportedly, 35-year-old Aselderov, aka Sheikh Abu Mohammad al-Qadari, and four of his men were “neutralised” in this invasion.  
    Aselderov was said to be involved in the 2013 blasts in the southern Russian city of Volgograd that killed nearly 34 people. He was also linked to the twin car blasts in Dagestan in 2012 that killed 14 people and injured at least 120.

    The FSB (Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation), said in a statement, “Among the neutralised bandits was the head of the Caucasus region’s branch of the Islamic State Rustam Aselderov, and four of his close associates.” The FSB also said that Aselderov was behind organizing an attack on Moscow’s Red Sqaure on New Year’s Eve 2010 involving two female suicide bombers. However, that attack was foiled.

    Even though the representation is not the end of the world, but the fact that a big name like Walmart can be so callous is quite surprising.     Amongst the myriad of plans that he has, Trump has made it very clear that he is going to do everything to protect his country people from other ‘foreigners’ who seek employment  in America. He has said he won’t allow H-IB visa holders to replace American workers. 
    “We will fight to protect every last American life," Trump told thousands of his supporters in Iowa on Thursday as he referred to the cases of Disney world and other US companies. "During the campaign I also spent time with American workers who were laid off and forced to train. The foreign workers brought in to replace them.     If you were in Delhi around Diwali this year, you may be aware and might have suffered in the disastrous smog cloud that blanketed the capital for several days. No matter how much blame you put on firecrackers or the burning of crops, we were partly at fault for creating this situation that still hasn’t cleared completely. Guess what, in 2015, the situation wasn’t any better, as reportedly nearly 1.6 million people died of air pollution in India and China. The reason was cited to be fossil fuel, particularly coal.

    The report was issued by Greenpeace, “Air pollution due to continued use of fossil fuels, (coal in particular) in both countries has caused an additional 1.6 million deaths than the projected figure based on the GDP growth rate for the year 2015.” It was further added, “Air pollution generally reduces as a country’s GDP increases. But China and India have particularly bad air pollution despite recent economic growth.” Apparently, out of the 10 countries that have highest air pollution death rates, half of them were middle-income countries including India.

    What’s more, the report even claimed that the air pollution death rate was nearly four times greater in India as compared to other high-income countries. Now, this accomplishment where India is ahead of other countries is definitely something we shouldn’t be proud of at all. It’s rather an alarming situation which one should really think about. One should actually look at the Delhi pollution problem and try to help the environment on a personal level.

    In 2015, air pollution claimed 138 and 115 lives per 1,00,000 people in India and China. The report further mentioned that in India, air pollution death rates have not improved since 2010. According to Global Burden of Diseases (GBD), there were nearly 1.8 million deaths in India and 1.5 million in China; although the expected numbers based on GDP were calculated to be 1.2 million and 5,58,000 respectively. 
    Guys, it’s high time we took note from these reports and start working towards putting less pressure on our already polluted country. We wonder what this year’s reports will look like!

    “No Personal Law Board is above the Constitution,” said the Allahabad High Court in its latest ruling against the ‘triple talaq’ concept of Muslim law. In its ruling, the HC stated that the Triple Talaq was not just unconstitutional, but also unfair and unjust to Muslim women’s rights. The order that was passed by Justice Suneet Kumar was a result of a petition that had been filed by a woman whose husband had arbitrarily divorced her, according to TNN. He went on to say, “Personal Law cannot be above the Constitutional law.”

    “About the practice being unconstitutional, I just have to say that the practice is a part of Islamic law. The personal law is an integral part of Islam and the two cannot be seen in isolation,” said Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali, a member of the AIMPLB.

    One of the worst sports tragedies of the decade, the Chapecoense team plane crash, left many football fans around the world in a state of shock. There was, however, a glimmer of hope for six of the survivors who were reportedly taken to the hospital.
    One of those survivors, Alan Ruschel, has finally spoken on video for the first time. Ruschel had shared a lot of videos and selfies while on the first leg of the plane journey without knowing that he was documenting a tragic flight which would kill most of his team.
    Watch here, as he speaks out for the first time since the crash.
    This is what he says in the short interaction: “People of Brazil and the entire world, I’m going to tell you about my recovery.”
    He then goes on to explain how he is recovering after the fatal plane crash. “I’m Alan Ruschel. I wanted to tell you that my recovery is going very well. Very soon I’ll be in Brazil to complete it. I wanted to thank everyone who’s sent me their love and support. I just wanted to thank everyone. Thank you very much.”
    71 people died in the horrific plane crash and Alan Ruschel in that sense is one of the luckiest persons on the planet right now. We wish him a speedy recovery and an eventual return to the field soon.

    ‘Befikre’ is an Aditya Chopra film.
    At no point while watching the film could I shirk off the thought that what was unfolding before my eyes had been conceptualised and executed by the man who once gave us a film that forever changed the way we looked at romance in our movies, and which spawned a deluge of similarly-themed films. 
    But let’s forget, for a moment, that Chopra wrote and directed ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ 21 years ago, and then followed it up with two films (‘Mohabbatein’ and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’), neither of which could outdo Chopra’s debut, but were at least credible films, with good actors, quotable lines, and actual plots. 
    ‘Befikre’ is meant to be a departure for the filmmaker—an attempt at encapsulating a more “modern” romance—which unravels without the usual Chopra tropes: parental pressure, age-old restrictions and societal expectations. There’s probably nothing more challenging for a filmmaker of Chopra’s pedigree than to step out of his comfort zone and to turn every trick employed in past films on its head. In that regard, Chopra displays as much bravery and “boldness” as he would like to believe his two protagonists do in ‘Befikre’, and his intention to reinvent himself could even be lauded.

    Comfort zones, however, exist for a reason. When audiences step in to watch a Sajid Khan film, for instance, they expect a certain brand of humour. You know what you’re in for—hammy acting, slapstick comedy, an over-the-top climax; it may not be your cup of tea, but at least you aren’t served guava juice. You, however, don’t walk in to watch an Aditya Chopra film, and come out feeling like you got a Sajid Khan film in return. That’s just barbaric, and could unsettle the best of us. And that’s exactly how ‘Befikre’ leaves you—senses numbed, eardrums hurting, head spinning. 
    Apart from all its misplaced attempts at portraying a “young”, “carefree” relationship, ‘Befikre’ left me dazed with the sheer noise generated by its never-ending dialogue, often thrown at audiences with merciless frenzy by Ranveer Singh (an actor who got his break in an Aditya Chopra production, and has since proved his mettle with fine performances in films like ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’). Singh’s annoyingly hammy performance could hardly be attributed to him alone, though. Would actors working with Chopra question his storytelling? Would technicians come down hard on him for his filmmaking choices? 
    Would Sharat Katariya, who gave us earthy, relatable dialogues in a gem like ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, not write lines that so terribly misrepresent the lingo of this generation? “Main kal hook-up nahi karne wali thi”, or “Hum live-in karne waale hai” - for instance - don't make the characters seem like credible portrayals of people around us. Instead, they come across as poorly-imagined versions of what a filmmaker and his team thinks “youngsters” sound like. It’s the kind of clueless posturing displayed in content created by Y-Films - the digital arm of Chopra’s production company, Yash Raj Films - which tries to encapsulate the spirit of its target audience (young India) with similar broad strokes.

    ‘Befikre’ is just that—a filmmaker’s statement on the youth of today, who are meant to be, apparently, befikre (careless) in their approach to relationships, and constructed from scraps gathered from other films. The Paris setting seems more like a cop-out than an actual backdrop; it’s as if setting a story about Indian characters in a more liberated society would give them the license to emulate what they don’t even seem to fathom.
    Of course, there are resources at Chopra’s disposal that are maximised for effect—the locations are woven into the story to provide eye-filling frames, every scene is shot with flair by cinematographer Kaname Onoyama, and two young actors let go of inhibitions for their director’s benefit. While Vaani Kapoor displays dignity and grace in portions, her character rarely displays traits that make her seem like a person we can relate to. Singh seems to overcompensate for his co-star’s softness with zest and energy that drives you up the wall after a point. Towards the tail end of the film, where the drama allows him to not behave like a four-year-old kid on speed, Singh shows glimpses of restraint and maturity—not just as a character, but even as performer.
    ‘Bekifre’ isn’t just Aditya Chopra’s most insufferable film yet, but also one of the worst movies of 2016—a year where filmmakers, incidentally, seemed to treat audiences with more respect than before. Watch it only if people jumping on each other in a church is your idea of fun. Or just wait for ‘Housefull 4’.
